Thread: Men's Cologne

  1. 07-21-2008 09:01 PM #1
so I need help picking out a cologne since all of mine are almost emptied.

So I had bought the following a while ago actually long time ago and they seem to be getting a bit boring.

Lacoste which wasn't that bad at all, I kept that in the car usually

    then I had this crap

now its all done and gone thank god.

I also had the soul cologne which was decent

Now i'm left with 1/4th of a bottle of abercrombie cologne which is great

Now I am in need of a good cologne. I need cologne that will stand out, you know those colognes where you just need one spray and thats all? I need something that will be refreshing something new. I had tryed the cuba cologne and one spray stayed on for a few days lol!
    yess this one right here

So, ya I need new cologne which one you guys suggest? ladies?

I love my cologne, i find it very unique, and get tons (literally mountains) of compliments.

    Dior Higher

plus it is very reasonable, i think i paid like 40 bucks.

The scent is kinda more on the less-masculine side. Not super musky or peppery, if that makes sense.

didnt we just have a cologne thread. just go to the mall and keep smelling until you find one you like.

i have lacoste red, burberry brit, versace blue jeans, dolce light blue, D&G masculine, lacoste hotplay, and then a few random CK ones.

Just keep smelling and youll find one you like. jean paul guartier (sp) has a new one out.

whatever you do stay away from that armani one that everyone always wears.... and retire the abercrombie fierce

I have London, but I only wear it during Fall/Winter.

DKNY Be Delicious always seems to get compliments.

whatever you do dont get talked into aqua di gio. every women at whatever store you go to will try to get you to wear it.

id recommend playing cologne roulette. just go to most popular on amazon.com or something and blindly pick one.

ive bought many colognes without smelling them, it makes it interesting

Out of the Burberry scents I perfer Touch personally. It seems to have a "cleaner" or "lighter" scent if that makes any sense. I seem to rarely wear any cologne at all, but as far as regular use for a subtle and non-overpowering scent I would choose Touch.

I do have/have had all three though, and like them all.

    edit:

Also, as much as I hate to admit it, the original Abercrombie cologne sold when I was in high school ('94-'99) was very nice. I used to wear it often, though secretly.

what kind of scent are you looking for??

I have brit, but its a pretty strong scent, very masculine and more of an "older men" scent..

My personal fav for the summer is Escada Sunset.. It is very light, but real pleasant. I get MANY compliments on it

"older men" scents are typically nicer imo.

these smell awesome and i haven't smelled them on any guys except for my best friends.

    bvlgari (white bottle not blue)
united colors of benetton - very clean fresh and yummy

finding the right scents have a lot to do with your own body chemistry. i use a mixture of two different perfumes so i never smell like anyone else try buying a few sample sprayers (usually > $10) on any fragrance site to test run them and how they smell on your throughout the day.

I love this Versace. It's really subtle.

I like Burberry Touch as well. Also subtle.

Seriously this **** makes you feel like the ****ing man. (like if man could be a cologne, this would be it)

However for regular days I'd do Burberry Touch.

I have heard great things about Creed Silver Mountain Water though, really great things, can't wait to blow money on that one.
