I don't know how else to describe it. I sprayed one spray on my wrist about 10 hours ago just to test it out and the scent is still very strong even with my nose being acclimated to the scent. I tried washing it off because I am studying for class tomorrow and the smell was getting to me a bit, but soap and water barely seemed to slow it down. Overall I really like it, it smells clean and professional.. slightly herbal.
Nice story! How did the studying go by the way? I find myself sometimes smelling myself while studying and again during a test. It helps much like eating chocolate.

I'm gonna check out the Paris Hilton for men scent, seems like a winner especially if I can get it for ~10$.
Luckily, I was given a 15ml sample of Paris Hilton for Men when I was buying a lot from Perfumania. The SA was super nice. Too bad I don't go there anymore, she was hawt too...

Most places won't give samples unless it's Nordstrom or high end fashion places and you've spent money there. I've spent easily $2000 in store at Saks, and another couple thousand spread between Neiman Marcus and Barneys New York on fragrances, and that doesn't include any of the fragrances I've bought over the phone.

Just play it cool and if they say no don't stress. Nordstrom and Sephora are good starting points though, go to them first.

      Good luck with the sale/swap!

Just picked up a bottle of Burberry Brit a few months back, I really enjoy it. I've also got a small vile of John Varvatos Artisan Black, which is a bit stronger than the Burberry but not overpowering. The lady friends like 'em and so do I.

I like 212 and Black Vintage by Kenneth Cole. Haven't purchased anything in awhile? Can someone recommend something that has a hint of cedar in it?

been rocking Jean Paul Gaultier all summer and love it. The fiancee says it's sex in a bottle so I've got no complaints.

Need some recommendations. I've been wearing (not very often mind you..) Burberry London for probably 4 years or so now. I like it, but want something lighter and fresher for warmer months and times when I just don't want something quite so heavy. I am looking for something citrusy, and masculine, but not overpowering. I thought I try some Burberry Brit, but really didn't care for that baby powder/old lady smell. I wore Hugo Boss as a teenager and can't stand that anymore. Had a small vial of Chrome from long ago and that was okay although i would like something with some more depth. Any help on what to try next time I'm near the Macy's counter?

^ A vetiver. I just ordered another 4.2 oz of Guerlain Vetiver...man, that shjt smells nice, I always get compliments when wearing it. It's good for warmer weather but masculine, spicy enough for cooler weather, imo.

I put on some Cartier Roadster Sport earlier. It must've been the cologne version because it didn't seem to last long. Smell was decent.

There was something else I whiffed while circling the counter at Nordstrom that I want to go try to track down again. I think it was Hanae Mori.

959: What's the volume of those pencil-thick (by maybe 4cm long) glass vials? I'm interested in trying the Aventus.

So I picked up some samples online the other day and was wondering if I could get some help. Im new to the cologne game. Samples I got....

      Burberry Brit
      Boss by Hugo Boss
      Polo Black
      Armani Code
      Versace pour Homme

Was wondering which are summer, winter, day, evening, etc...

They are ~5ml. I think the capacity is like 5.1ml and they have sprayers. They are the smallest size I offer with an atomizer; the only size without an atomizer I have has a capacity of 0.7ml.

Right now it's taking me forever. I think I'm going to refund quite a few orders since I haven't had the time to decant in over 1.5 weeks. I'll see how this weekend goes; If I haven't fulfilled orders by Sunday evening I'll consider taking down the site until I get a better grasp of my schedule.

I've got no problem waiting a few weeks for mine if I need to. Just curious.

haven't sprayed it yet, will do so tonight and let you know

      *followup*

so spray tested Lucky Number 6 on my neck and wrist. impressions so far:
      1. after about 2.5-3 hours, the stuff has faded a bit, and projection is gone
      2. the scent is still there on my skin however, so sillage is not too bad (i'm guessing 3-4 hours)
      3. the actual fragrance is robust but not domineering and fits many of the descriptions of spice, orientalyness, and general "solid performer but nothing extraordinary"

i'd say this is a solid one to pick up for daily use in colder weather and at night. just don't go crazy with it or you'll become a stinkbomb
