There used to be a thread for these areas, was quite long. Did everyone move away, graduate, or what?

    Nice!

    But currently:

Playing around with some cheap mods and trying to get rid of those wheels.

There used to be a quite a few people around here, although I never met any of them in person. Tried to make it to some of their Sunday meets but I was just really busy at that time. Glad to see some people are coming to the area.

    Nice.

Some cheap mods you could do easily yourself with just a little time.

    - Joey mod headlights.
    - headliner

and then some that involve a little big of $

    - intake
    - bumper markers
    - fender markers

After that its pretty much time to spend the big bucks

Dude you def. have to help me take apart my headliner and rewrap it. Cause i have NO idea how to take all that ish apart. haha.

And finally, someone in the area who has a spot and tools to work on the car. I was worried i'd be stuck in the school parking lot with minimal tools.

    Now for the JTI.

This is what we do for fun, make videos and drive around.

I really hope you decide to join our forum.

Love to help, but I'm no expert, this is my first time around for everything as well. I can definitely tell you what not to do!

Houston - I joined up as well, but haven't looked around much. Seems like a nice place and some fun times. Nice JTi!

I'd really started to go stale on my car the past couple of years and I was to the point of wanting to trade it, but instead I got laid off of my job for a few months and the boredom set in. Worked out good for the car though.

Sounds good. I'll see you in September. Possibly cruise down to H20 together if your going. Are there fabric stores around christiansburg/blacksburg? what are you wrapping the headliner in?

There are a few small stores but there is a big store in Floyd (20 miles) that had a ton of stuff. Nothing I was looking for though, so looks like I'm going to get a multicolored blue plaid online. I haven't ordered it yet, but I did get a sample. Kind of holding out I guess while I get everything else painted and put back together. My fog light harness should be here tomorrow, and my wheel bolts. I bought some ball seat so I can go back to my stock wheels and still run the spacers, but I figure I'll need them for Fat Fives whenever I can pick up a set.

Right now, my weekend life could be anything, but I am married with a 1 year old, so things change all the time. You guys meet up every weekend?

Actually, I was talking about my rattle can grill and rub strips. The only thing I have had to have painted so far was my driver side mirror when a cavalier knocked it off. Got it done at Harveys (GM dealership bodyshop) for $25. I really have no connections around here. I'm from here, but I spent a few years in St. Louis and it really makes me miss the scene and friends out there. You might want to join up at this site as well:

Sounds like a fun meet, headed to the beach that day though. Plus, the car will probably still be in pieces until I get back.

Just a few of the progress:

Still have to reinstall the rub strips on the side, and then tackle the headliner, which scares me.

Ahh yes, and one only the VW guys will get:

i wasnt going for just the g2g. Was suppose to go down there to pick something up as well so i thought i'd swing by the g2g. I've been to the arlington g2g along time ago. Was 7 cars or so only and after that it just died out i think.

Hopefully I'll start meeting all you guys in August/September. Is there a regular enthusiast meet at Tech? And how's the Audi community?

There used to be a regular meet on Sundays but I haven't seen anyone from the old thread post except lumns. We'll put something together, if you guys can handle a 27 year old family man non-student working something up
