If you guys check out carclubvt.com there seems to be lots of meets and gatherings already. The first show is sept. 27th i believe.

the vt car club is open to any make of car's but there are a couple VW's on there already. We can always setup just VW events if you guys wanted to. Like photoshots, events (dinner, pong, etc)

Thanks! Put the last one on today (ran out of tape yesterday), I'm very happy with the results. That means the car is put back together except for the headliner. Beach trip starting Saturday, so once I get back I've got to finish up.

If you end up with a blue lagoon GLI I'm going to have to kick a dent in it to make myself feel better. My all time fav!!

When will everyone be here? Drove through Blacksburg yesterday and it was starting to get busy.

Update picture, stock wheels back for now, headliner still out, budget might kill that project for a while.

How is the 7th of September (a Sunday) around 1 or 2 for a meet up? That is two weeks from now and should give everyone time to prepare. Next weekend I will be in Charlotte for the game. I'm trying to do it early enough that members of CCVT can still make the swap meet if they have one that day.

I drove around today looking for a spot and there are tons of parking lots that would probably be ok. Last year the VW guys met up in the parking lot by the duck pond. This is lot #9 during game days, but it has no markings otherwise. There are two sections, one lower side by the road and an upper side that is off of the road a bit. Shown here, but this is an older map so it doesn't show parking lot yet:

I assume it's ok to use the lot, but if not, we can just use the commuter lot.

Anyway, I'm going to start a list to see if there is enough interest, I'll edit as I get replies. Nothing set in stone yet though...
