You remember the commercials Volkswagen aired when the Rabbit first launched, showing them breeding like rabbits? They weren't kidding — within a few months of bringing our Candy White '07 Rabbit home from the dealership, the cars were everywhere. Which is why we had to differentiate Project Turbunnium from the thousands of other white Rabbits prowling the streets. Thanks to Volkswagen's Thunder Bunny™ body kit, we're satisfied that we don't see ourselves coming and going. But it's a familiar story for any of us who mod our cars: Now that the body kit is on, other parts of our Rabbit are starting to look shabby.

I love the caps. I bought a set for my MK4, washer bottle, and power steering caps. I love both of them!

"but we chose to go with a factory upgrade in the form of the smoked lights from the US-spec MKV R32."

I thought the US-spec R32's had red ones as well, not smoked.

This tail light mod is the most useless mod I have ever seen. The actual color is changed ever so slightly. next month hella will make something that might actually look decent. (n)

The taillamps' difference is more substantial in person than in photos.

Isn't the only difference between e-code and us spec the lack of side reflectors? Just put some reflecto tape on the sides of the tails. I installed the euro codes on my A6 and it's worth it for the amber signals.

Now if I could just find resonably priced ecode xenons with city lights. The A4 guys get off easy with a flood of them being available.

The reflector is there, the US lights have a cutout for the sidemarker light. Cops would be hard pressed to find DOT markings on the stock tails. There are no external markings, you have to remove the tail lights from the car to find the DOT markings.

Agreed.. between that and the 8hp chip, $200 worth of engine caps nobody will ever see unless you're working on the car, this is a pretty lame project.

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback, I guess. There are much bigger changes in store for the car. The wheels and suspension update will be next, and more installments will follow. If everything was done at once, it really wouldn't be a project.

Sorry.. didn't mean to be critical.. but really, custom oil and windshield washer caps?? I guess it's only a matter of time before this car is dragging the ground like every other lemming in the mkV forum.

The Jcaps look great and we're really happy with them. The effect may be subtle, but it's a nice aesthetic upgrade.

Wes has already installed our new suspension; we just haven't completed the write-up yet. I daily drive the car around Chicago so driveability is essential and our setup has fit our needs very well. No belly draggin' here. It's not our style, anyways.
