I can get the MAF from VW for 150 with my discount ( using my Brothers shop name)

I just don't have the money to spend and be wrong.... I don't want to throw down the $$ till I am sure that thats the issue. I piced up a used fan from Herk for now to get me by for a while with my fan situation.

Vag'd my car a Tricked Out yesterday and got these codes...

17551: load calculation cross check.....upper limit exeded

17947: clutch pedal switch (f36)...... no signal

16486: MAF (g70)..... lower limit exeded

16497: Intake air temp sensor...... lower limit exeded

16684: random/multiple cylinder misfire..... implausible

16690: Cylinder 6 misfire detected..........implausible

16686: Cylinder 2 misfire detected.........implausible

16685: Cylinder 1 misfire detected........implausible

17953: throttle valve controler........ lower limit exeded

16687: Cylinder 3 misfire detected........implausible

16688: Cylinder 4 misfire detected........implausible

lol i told you it needed an inspection. East Kingston has HORRIBLE cops. My dad got pulled over for doing absolutely nothing wrong. the cop said he thought his inspection was out of date but clearly just wanted to pull him over for sh!ts and gigs. STAY OUT OF EAST KINGSTON AT ALL TIMES!

Blake.. was it the throttle position sensor or
throttle valve controller that not working right??? if it's the TPS it.. may....be on the gas pedal and I don't need a throttle body. still researching

I meant EK has the worst cops in the surrounding towns, like to the point where i will drive 10 miles out of my way to avoid East Kingston. i suppose there are worse...

I drive from newton to bedford everyday so id say that i drive pretty far. Also i never said i wasnt doing any thing wrong. I am completely at fault for what i was doing and i actually have no problems with any law enforcement, also i have a decent driving record due to cops being nice to me. I actually dont mind police at all i almost enjoy being pulled over for the conversation as long as i dont get the ticket. I am also grateful for it being not as bad as it could have, couldve been towed, heavier fine. So why dont you stop lurking on forums waiting to pounce on people making harmless post and go _______(fill in all if you so choose)yourself peace im out and internet tough guys are so

well im on here becasue i have friends on here, i am a fan of older VWs..

not a fan of any camaro built after 1969....and the el-caminos of the 80s just blew.... i also enjoi my holden built pontiac has power and rides nice thank you

I found some more info in the TPS... It is on the pedal I just called VW and it's 200 with out my discount... Just wanted to get a ball park #

--------This procedure details how to perform a Throttle Body Alignment (TBA) on many VW/Audi vehicles. This procedure cycles the motorized throttle body through various states (idle, part throttle, WOT) to relearn their positions. Some examples of reasons to perform a TBA:

The vehicle's battery has been disconnected and re-connected
The ECU has been removed and reinstalled
The Throttle Body has been cleaned or removed and reinstalled The Accelerator Pedal has been removed and reinstalled

In some vehicles, the car will not run correctly, or may not run at all without performing a TBA after one of the above operations. The TBA can be performed on both Drive-By-Wire (DBW or E-gas) as well as Cable-throttle cars as long as there is no Idle Stabilization Valve (ISV). If there is an ISV, then there is no motorized control of the throttle at all. Typically, '96-'99 VW/Audi have motorized Cable-throttle, and '00+ VW/Audi have DBW. Obviously, there are some exceptions. This should be obvious but TDI's do not have throttle bodies.
There are certain test conditions that must be met before doing a TBA:

No DTC's in the Engine Controller
Battery voltage at least 11.5 V Throttle must be at idling position (keep your foot off the gas pedal)
Throttle body part must not be dirty (carbonized).
Coolant temperature must be between 5 and 95C -----

I had my battery off for 2 days and cleand the TB... so that is probobly why it has messed up and needs to be aligned..

Now I'm wondering about the requirements on aligning it.... First the battery voltage. My battery died befor I pulled it out to do my clutch and I only through it on a charger for about 40 min befor I put it in, and with the fans dead I havn't driven to much, I wonder if the battery is still low???

2nd It says the coolent temp needs to be under 203 F .... we scaned it right when I got to the meet so the motor was hot ass hell...lol

so mabey thats why it wouldn't work??

lol i understood about every third word. If your alternator is working fine then i would say maybe try a new battery and after a few miles try to do the adaptation again. What is you battery voltage at now (while the car is on)?

P.S. if you want you can drop by my house and try my battery. it's out of the car and wont be needed until Thursday or Fridayish.

not sure what it is at... I have a new red top so my battery should be fine.... just need to through it on the charger. It only died cause it was sitting for 2 months then when I brought it to my brothers and left the Key on for a few hrs by accident.

Find someone to buy the rest of the motor stuff... I'd like to sell it all together for like $800 Motor, trani, ECU, Wire harness, EIP charger core(needs Rebuild) stock charger(130 miles on it needs rebuild) Neuspeed P-flow intake, Pace setter header.

im pretty sure i found a guy to buy one of your chargers and the ecu but he has a spare tranny so i dont think he'll b needing yours. But ill take the intake and headers w the motor

yea but I havn't really driven long enoph to give the altenator time to charge the battery... and I've had the lights on and AC steeling power.

it's just because it says it should have 11 volts witch is just under fully charged.. I would guess that I don't have a full charge... I think maybe half.... but I could ne wrong... I'll have to see if my dad has a meeter and I'll check it when I come home from TRH. I was also getting alot of low voltage cods when I was scaning my car at Tricked out... maybe those were because my battery was low?? not sure
