    Oooh pretty.

You're not shaving the side markers? With the corner lights, you really don't need the side markers in the front (you can see those from the side). IMHO it would look a lot cleaner... has anyone kept the US front end and shaved side markers?

what are you talking about the corner markers serve as the front's side markers... all i have are rear side markers. i'm not gonna spend the extra money to shave that sh*t. not worth it.

    more progress on the interior.
my friend before had decided he thought checker board looked cool.
i decided it didn't, i wanted to do black suede, but i went for a more stock look with OEM grey headliner material. luckily there was a sale with 50% coupons. so it didn't cost me much.

    headliner carnage:

I have to give you credit for keeping that light grey scheme. it gets so dirty, most folks just rip it out..it's a nice scheme but requires care. Never been my favorite, probably because I've never seen on as clean as yours. Good work!

just because i couldnt find a black one and because on the grey dash the knee bar, ashtray lid, and stering cover have all turned tan on me

don't worry this interior's gonna stay the way it is for probably another year.

this car sat in a barn for 10 years, that's why it's so clean, it was a barn dweller.

so the past couple of days, this is what we have done (no pictures sorry, i was too busy):

we removed the a/c, pulled out the radiator, painted the fan, and brackets. degrease the bay, sanded down the rust that was below the radiator, primered it and painted it amethsys.

we're just waitin' on getting the head back

TJ, can you get the female side of the seatbelts? i'm missing it off both of my seats and it doesn't look good for me finding it in a junkyard. my next bet was to ask kevin to look it up at the dealer for me.

no, i never ended up going up and then i got called into work for 1 instead of 3.

do you think the cabby ones will work, i mean yeah they're basically the same, but are yousure there isnt some weird difference? i dont wanna buy it and then it not work. kevin, or louie, had said that the male end are shaped different on some and might not slide in and latch properly.

my NOS floormats thanks to the mk1 auto haus.

    and my freshly degreased bay.

Well, we could always take a look and see if the buckle looks like he one in the Rabbit. If it's any different, then we can take the seatbelts from the Cabby too (since they're black)

I think the newer Cabby ones might eb different, but the old Rabbit Conv in Bristol has a good chance of being the same.

well, here's the list of what's left. i swear this car is will be put together at some point.

what's left till i can drive it:
-head needs to be put back on / valve cover.
    -needs to be timed.
    -diesel pump needs tuning.
    -water pump.
-all the new coolant hoses &radiator.
    -need to buy belts &oil.
-need to buy coolant and water wetter.
-new oil pan needs to be put on.
-put grill and headlight back on.

-brakes (up in the air at the moment) brembo crossdrilled rotors, new calipers, pads, new drums &hardware kit.

then other items that aren't nessecery for me driving it right away:
-H&R ultra low coil overs. (&strut mount kit)
    -15mm spacers, 25mm spacers
    -195/50 15 falkens for the RA's
    -small black euro bumpers
-smoked lamin-x for my tails so i dont have to spray can them.
-oil gauge, oil pressure gauge, volt gauge for the middle console &the sensors for each +wiring.
    -maybe a shifter rebuild.
    -a paint job!

    soon... soon.
