Wayyy better than Thor and Green Latern. Story/pacing is on par with the big hitters. Enjoyed it very much. Evans did a pretty good job, though I still think there could've been a better Cpt.

I agree, I just don't get why they are doing a full reboot.

I really like the movie. The costumes I thought were well done. Especially for the Red Skull.

I just didn't like the way Red Skull went out.

I'm starting to get bored of these super hero movies, too many 2nd rate mediocre actors putting on a costume and splash of CGI and stuntmans.

Every movie is just so predictable.

I think that was done on purpose . . . . don't want to give any spoilers.

I thought it was just ok but still better than Thor.

I really liked Cap until the last act. After that, it just felt rushed and that there was little thought or logic put into it.

But overall, a really entertaining movie. Loved the Indiana Jones-like feel to it and Chris Evans was a great Steve Rogers/Cap.

I liked Thor better than Cap. I thought it was a little hokey when he's in the USO and what not. But the 3D was good especially when Cap threw his sheild and it looked like it was going to hit the audience in the face

They set the stage well for the Avengers.

For those who really know there comic books they nailed Dum Dum Duggan, but they obviously used some creative license to chop out the original the SGT FURY character. And replaced him with what must be Nick Fury father . Who fought with Cap with the rest of the commandos so they can use Samuel L. as Nick Fury later on.

I think the only people who really care about that level of continuity (not saying you are one of them, btw) are the AICN-type comic geeks. I wrote above that I like how they're tying the movies and backgrounds together for the upcoming Avengers flick, but to hit the level of cross-relationships that the comics have took decades to establish and is impossible to do on film.

Keep in mind Nick fury has also taken some form of syrum in the comics that doesn't let him age.. similar to how wolverines aging process is slowed by quite a bit.. not sure if caps is.

Actually, he would've been pretty good. Maybe not better than Evans.

Saw the film today, thought it was pretty good. More enjoyable than Thor. I'd put it right up there with Iron Man, personally. The 3D was pretty mediocre other than the obligatory shield-toss-at-the-audience and just served to cause me eye strain. I like the fact it takes place in WW2, and everything seems appropriate, if a little retro-futuristic.

I didn't read many comics when I was a kid, so I wouldn't know the stories or characters or changes they had to make to accommodate the new Marvel Universe. Obviously I would not fit in at AICN talkbacks

Evans did a good job. Hayley Atwell is super yum. Tommy Lee Jones owns every frame he's in, even (swipe for possible spoiler) near the end when Cap is on the radio with Carter. He's in frame but behind her and out of focus, he knows what's about to happen, grabs the radio guy and they duck out to give her a moment with Cap before he downs the plane.

The Avengers preview... hell YES I am looking forward to that one!

Are you certain those are official? IM's suit isn't what they showed in the trailer after Captain America.

Yeah I noticed that in the teaser, I dunno what was with his suit. These are official Avengers concept art posters from Comic-Con, more teaser than real theatrical posters. There's still a year before the movie hits so we'll see new posters. I dig these, they're fantastic.

theyre all depictions of the characters from movies that they have been in prior to The Avengers movie (with the exception of Maria Hill, who I believe hasn't been in any marvel movies thus far).

Huge Marvel fan here. I love the Iron Man movies

Saw Captain America last night and I loved it. The tie in to the rest of the movies is great. After credits scene was great with Rogers running into Times Square and the conference with all of the super heroes

I can't believe I forgot to see Thor. I guess I'll wait until the DVD is out
