And a new saddle is definitely in order. The Aliente is way too hard, unless riding it will break it in.

I swapped out the tires tonight for Michelin Krylions with a thin grey stripe. It definitely makes it look plainer. IDK. Maybe I'll keep the red tires and lose the red tape. There's just something about the combination of red tires and tape that makes it look cheap instead of cool, IMHO. But I respect your opinion too, Richard. Ya got me thinking. BTW, I was out in Pittsburgh this past weekend moving my younger daughter's stuff to her new apartment. Cyclists everywhere. A ride in/around/about Pittsburgh is on my list of things to do next summer.

Me, get someone thinking, no way Where in Pitt did you move your daughter, Shaddyside, SouthSide, Oakland, Squirrel Hill? Is she going to school down there, Pitt, Carnegie Melon, Dusquaine(sp???)? My sister just graduated from Pitt this past April and I went down there a few times while she was in school and I really liked the city. I have wanted to bring down my bike but between her making me take her out to dinner everynight and going out to bars, I don't think i'd get much riding in

i have this too! '07 and size is 56 which seems to be just borderline too big for me. got a shorter stem and seat is at the lowest setting. but i do like it too. crashed it twice though

awful pic of the frame i just got yesterday.

'04 Allez Pro 56cm

for $250 came with the frame, EA50 stem, seatpost, stock specialized handlebars (i've got a set of thinner bars on now as the 42 cm bars are way too wide for me), Ultegra brakes, Dura-Ace front derailleur, cages, and Fizik Aliante saddle which i put on my Cannondale Capo for the time being.

i'm probably going to build it up with sram Rival and who knows what wheels.

My younger daughter moved to the same apartment where my older daughter lives in Bloomfield (Little Italy). Great places to eat within walking distance of their apartment. And a block away from Tessaro's (supposedly world famous burgers). Older goes to Pitt in the biology grad program. Younger just graduated from Kutztown University in May with an Art degree in sculpture. Kinda like a history or philosophy degree. What do you do with it? Dunno, but it makes her happy. She's looking for work.

After posting last night I was messing around with ideas for the Look. I think I like the red tape with the black tires the best. The all black doesn't have the pop that it needs.

I think the blue in Joe's Specialized works better than the red on mine. It's not overwhelming like I thought the all red on the Look is (was).

Richard, good luck on your century this weekend! I'm sure we'll all want a play by play when you return.

Crap, I didn't see this thread and started a post just for my bike...sorry. Here are a few of mine. There are more now but I only have pix of these. All three bikes now have the Team Edition Selle Italia SLRs. Great saddle. The Fizik killed me. My core is getting stronger and stronger, so my positions are changing little by little as you can tell by the bikes.

My newest. 2009 ADK/Pedal Force. Sram Red, Tune, etc. 14.9lbs with pedals and cages.

2008 Felt F2 with DuraAce.

2007 Cervelo R3, FSA, DuraAce. LOL, pic was taken when I was working on different set backs of the saddle.

Wow dude, that's an awesome progression. I've seen a lot of guys in town (vegas) riding the Cervelo's from a local shop. I can't believe the pricing on those things (I wish I could)... the pure jealousy that lingers around me when they pass me up is all I can live up to for now. I'm checking out your build now.

all i have noticed is that everyone is short. these bikes are little compared to mine. (the second bike on page 1)............ for the guys that race, do you finish well. when i am racing it is us taller guys that always finish on the top.............

It seems that all the bikes are small but when you find "older" bikes for sale, the frames are all MASSIVE I am convinced that everyone who rode a bike in the 80's was 6'8"

I tried a 54" but seamed small on me

didn't crash too bad. frame is just fine

Here are my Fiance's and my road bicycles. Her's is the blue nishiki, low end but she likes riding it. Mine is the Panasonic, it's an 88 with the full 105 group and biopace cranks, rides like new. Nothing expensive and technology filled but we like riding them, so who cares!

(yes, it's a lousy photo, there's a pie plate, reflectors, and there's no pedals. I forgot to bring "tools" to work the day that my new bike came in! There's no handlebars either...)

I'll replace this with a proper photo once it's further out of the box it came in!

If they weren't clear-coated on I'd lose all of them except the downtube - no idea why C'dale has to sticker every tube. Thanks for the compliments though!

No way! I actually like the way it looks with all the stickers on my C'dale. They seem to stand out on your CAAD 8 more though for some reason, which is cool Still, thats about 5 million less stickers then Ridley's have on their frames A guy at one of our group rides asked me who made my bike, kidding that it was so hard to figure out by looking at the bike

I like the stickers, it's just that so many of them say the same thing. They at least could have put a "Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design" on the seat tube instead of just another "Cannondale". But IMO it's a hot bike to look at. I bought the ES's mainly for the looks.
