Okay, this picture still fails in various ways, but I got the bike together and took it for a ride in the hills...For some reason they forgot to put a Cannondale sticker on the chainstays on the six13s

I'm 99% finished with my latest road bike. Just need to finish up with bar tape.
Took it on a 30 mile test ride yesterday. This thing is really smooth!

Nice tourer
What frame is that?
I'm in love with tourers again after pulling my 24 year old Schwinn from my parents basement. The details of this frame are amazing. I didn't realize what kind of Gem I had. Many of these are getting converted to fixies, or city use

Looks like you did a similar bar setup. I just ordered a set of Nitto Randonneur bars, some cross levers, and Tektro R200a levers. I can't wait to get them installed.

Dave. It's a Rivendell Bleriot, built for the 650b wheel size. It's not specifically a 'tourer', although quite useful as one! This is how Rivendell describes it . . .
"The Bleriot is ideal for anything you want to do on the road except race. For centuries, weekend rides, touring, day rides, and commuting, it is a bullseye. For fire trails, unbeatable. It's not a road racing bike or a mountain bike or a BMX bike or a trials bike, for that matter. But it is a comfortable, versatile, all-weather, all-surface, all-year round bike. . "
I've spec'd it as an 8 speed, 11-32. Nitto stem, seat post, noodlebars and water cages. Ultegra barcons, Brooks Ti saddle, Sugino crank, Campy FD, Deore LX RD, Tektro brakes, Deore LX 32h hubs laced to Velocity rims (OC in back), Rivendell Fatty Rumkin tires. Planet Bike fenders, (while awaiting Honjo's)
started life like this.
headset was the first step.
Lugwork is quite nice.
Just waiting on the Brooks bar tape now.Your Schwinn is very nice! Obviously well cared for.

Here's my Schwinn Varsity, I believe it's a '68. It needs a little TLC, but it works great as my commuter for now.

I just picked this up tonight cause I needed a bigger frame... it's a clean, 60cm frame, BUT it's pink![]()

Needless to say, it's a work in progress. It has already undergone a few changes in the past hour:

Just picked this up on Friday. No-name SS from Ebay. Rides pretty good....note: I'm pretty new to cycling and like the SS feature so I can get rid of my gut. It forces me to ride in one gear...It rides really nice, and is much nicer than commuting on my Mountain bike...

Thanks! The paint is Rustoleum Professional with primer. For your everyday road debris, the paint is durable enough. White is a good color to go with as it doesn't show anything!
Here is a close up (I also polished the Shimano 600 headset, lol).

You're bike would look awesome with polished lugs and if the yellow sticker wasn't on the fork. I'm contimplating doing something similar to my old beat 1400 Trek.

Some really crappy pics of my Klein Quantum race with full dura ace 7800 gruppo. i no longer have that selle saddle. i now have a specialized toupe gel saddle. i really want to upgrade all the components to sram red. but i'm probably just going to get a new bike in the next few years anyways. she is pretty light for an aluminum bike. just a touch over 18lbs
