Sweaty, you can buy them online from Australia or any hobby shop really. I don't have any spare otherwise I would just give you some. Will need to buy some myself actually.

You will regret it big time when Ryan and I do perfect jumps with ours at Windsor siding!

This is why I have two RC8Be. I'm turning one of them into this sort of stuff. Monster buggy as they have been coined.

edit: just saw they've got a version of that GT3B controller for $27 but no stock.
Sorry just saw this! I use this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14693. Yes 4S. This is the same battey I used for the Baja as well, albeit x2. It depends on your ESC. If your ESC comes pre-wired with 2 battery plugs, such as the Xerun 150a, then it's easier to just buy 2 x 2S. You have to cut the battery tray slightly to make it fit easier.

When do you want the kit? Happy to bring it over.

I turned my original RC8Be into the monster buggy I've wanted last night. Looks awesome. I'll take a pic when I'm home tonight. Was going to run it today but it was too fricking cold. I also modified our Thunder Tiger MT4-G3 into a yellow monster Beetle. OllieWAY can't wait to run it.

Very nice WAY. Reminds me I need to order some paint (HK don't stock haha)

Did a massive order for the buggy and a few other projects. Ordered one of these:

Just buy the paint from local shop. $11-12 per can. For a buggy shell one can is enough unless you want multiple colours.

Btw, putting massive wheels on makes it handle jumps like a rear heavy car. Gone is the lovely buggy handling. BUT, compared to a monster truck, it's still excellent so no regrets. Besides, that's why I bought a second one so I can have both.

One had been replaced by a piece of wire in a bodge at some point in time... They sit in the brass tubes you can see. The vertical motor is removed in the photo

Also I have read that once you remove the magnet (circled) from the chassis it loses 70% of it's power and I'm pretty sure it has been moved before. So I'm ordering some new brushes and a Neo Magnet off the net. No Hobby King for vintage trains though

Hobby King order is turning into an ordeal. Paid by CC and because I send my mail to a PO Box and wanted the stuff sent to my house they suspended my order. Sent the info they require but a week later everything is still stitting there....

Are you just dying to try the truck out? Lol. Get it tomorrow and maybe we can all go over to Windsor Siding for a bash session on Sunday? Matty? Ryan? Which battery did you end up getting?

Thanks for the link to the kit! It's awesome...but it is out of stock! Please someone remind me to check another time. I really would love to buy that!

I just checked out the ebay store you linked to Paul. Fark me, those clone Bajas are so cheap! Regardless, I am sure they break easily like most clones and I would never support stolen IP anyway.

Great batteries. I like them a lot.

This morning, after our usual breakie at Noisette, we went to the beach for a bash. Was tempted to give you a call Ryan, but thought it may be too early on Sat morning for someone with no kid lol.

Haha thanks dude, despite the fact you're literally about 100m away from where I was tucked into bed sleeping.

Also, give trumans cafe a go, I took matty there (tho he shouted haha), I rate it much higher thne noisette. Even eurodore is better.

I am in! What is the Pitts special? When do you want the RC8Be? You should build it as a break from studies now and then. Doesn't take long to do it as some stuff is already pre-built. Motor and electronics can go in later if they have not turned up yet.

I will give those other places a go, but OllieWAY has grown up on Noisette choc croissant so will be hard to convince him! I did note today that the price has gone up to $4 per croissant, and the size is decreasing. Not that it really bothers me, but this can be my motivation to try other places lol.

I'd better pick that up from you soon, or you'll claim squatters rights to it!

The pitts special is the biplane I pictured up above. Put the radjet into the ground pretty hard last night trying to do a victory roll to close to the ground., needs reqluing (again), pretty impressed though you can just keep regluing it and it still flies well, though I did bend a motor shaft this time. Not bad for $50!

Matty, did you get the prop to spin the right way yet?

I tried it both ways and it still went backwards. It was one of your props though. Do you think they're different because they are helicopter jobbies?

Time for a catch up over Easter? Was a great day for a fly yesterday. Shame I had the technical issues.

I did manage to cut down the carbon shaft from the Bixler though, so that should work now. Just got to wait for the wind to die down.

They're plane propellers. Bit strange. Swap two motor leads then and it'll work.

Free monday and should be less windy.
