FG, yes, I love FG! I've been going on and on about their F1 model forever. They have the coolest cars and check out their racing trucks too! Sensational! However I don't believe the X6 has been released yet? They have the coolest MINI 5th scale, which is raced at Hoppers. I know they showed the brushless version of their cars at the Toyfair this year with the Castle 2028/XL2, but I haven't seen any release so far. Wish they also have the F1 as an electric option!

They have electric conversion kits including for their 4wd buggies. Yes the trucks are cool as well. I think Chequered Flag Racing sells them locally. The Leopard Competition which is $3500 apparently kills anything else on the track.

Sometimes the online shop in Germany has specials but shipping charge was like 176 Euro, you can also buy the 4wd buggy without the gas engine.

Yeah their comp range has all sorts of cool stuff like hydraulic brakes etc. All their range has a competition line. Thanks for the heads up on the brushless conversion - had no idea they finally released and selling these! If I see the MiNI (4WD version) on special, I may buy one and convert.

Btw if I visit Adelaide one day, I'm gonna check out chequered flag racing.

So I know of 4 x Draganflyer X8 UAV's for sale. These are a serious commercial class quadrotor although from the looks of it you could build one from Hobbyking for quite a bit less. I think it includes a full fpv system, not sure if it includes the SLR camera etc. Thinking about a cheeky offer given the reported purchase cost was 35k...

had a semi twilight bash tonight getting hard to tell the direction of the car when it gets too far away. Something weird going on with the Savage still seems to go fast but is making a weird whirring noise I am loathe to pull it apart I suspect it is either the spur gear or slipper clutch.

If it was FG F1 I may have been interested! Or FG MINI AWD. I think I will get one of those at some stage.

Was at the hobbyshop today with a mate who bought the blade 120sr rc heli. I figured why not get the blade mqx quadcopter. Had 2 packs through it without it busting into a million pieces. Made the right choice of quad vs heli as my mate is having a difficult time keeping his in a stable hover whereas the quad is a cakewalk in comparison. I'm still utterly crap at flying but I'm enjoying it

I would never get a heli again. My last one lasted all of 30 secs until a gust of wind make it a permanent decoration 40 feet up on a massive Xmas tree.

Anyway, had a great time bashing the brushless Summit today on the beach. It's a little slower than the MT4-G3 on smaller wheels that my son runs, but at least it's sort of in the same league. Sort of. It's fast becoming one of my fav basher as it is so versatile and can do everything and go over any terrain.

Also, put in the HW150a on the MINI. Why is it that it is faster than when it was using the 80a? Ok maybe it's just in my head. Actually thinking about it, it's probably because I'm using a new battery today whereas previously I've been running them on a 12 month old battery.

Went bashing in a busted up carpark behind the tram depot near my place. Was talking to a guy who stopped to have a look and it the process of trying to pull a speccy jump to impress hit a pole. And we all know how hitting a pole ends

Doesn't seem too bad the A Arm stayed intact it just bend the hinge pin. Which is pretty Lucky I have spares

Also I did an order from tower hobbies sent airmail 17 sept and I still don't have it

You sound like OllieWAY. He also tries to impress and crashes when others are looking.

Yeah sometimes orders can take over a month! I'm still waiting for the EXO terra buggy to turn up!

Took the chance to run the MINI WRC while waiting for F1 replay on Ten to start. It is DEFINITELY much faster. Made it a lot of fun to drive! But the motor was really hot at the end of 15 mins of full throttle. Better check the temp next time.

Got all the bits for the HSP buggy tried plugging in the esc to the receiver and the steering servo. Looks like I have it working at least with the spare servo I have once I had worked out the right channels to plug into the rx. The other servo I had installed already just moves slightly then doesnn't do anything else have to try swapping with the spare one. Only bummer now is that the connectors to the motor on the Team Assoc ESC are smaller than the bullet connectors on the motor Ryan gave me damm it. Looks like a soldering jobbie. At the least the esc already has a Deans plug installed. Have a LRP esc coming as well so might swap that for the moment to get it running.

Other bummer today is Aston was doing some circle work in the rain and dirt and grass with the Savage XS seemed ok and then after a while just made a loud whirring noise with no drive at all. Looks like either the clutch, trans or spur gear. Too scared to open it up at the moment.

Out the back of Kororoit Creek Road in between the Rays outdoor warehouse and the baseball stadium. There is what looks like a paddock being subdivided.

Do you mean Hoppers? I don't think there is a Rays outdoor in Altona?

Edit: Oh sorry, you mean the warehouse. That is only 15 mins from me!

Pole carnage worse than I thought. Cracked A Arm, Bent Hinge Pin and munted front Toe Blocks. The hing pin on the other side is very slightly bent but I'm not sure if that's due to the crash or because it's not that beefy. Going to order the RPM arms and I think they specify using a traxis pin as it's slightly larger as the axial design is deliberately undersized.
