yeah the site had a cut and pasted description from the tamiya site which in one section says the battery and charger is included and then in another part says it isnt "unless otherwise stated" so meh i dunno

When it says "ready to race" u'd imagine everythings in there but either way i'll be upgrading the motor and will wanna get a better battery or 3 and a car charger so i wont be too fussed if it isnt in there haha

other than the motor and shocks, what value do all the other bits add? Or are you just trying to build a pink poofter mobile to go with your mac mini?

Haha stupid of me. I should have known. I piked because of OlieWAY. He is becoming more of a handful and it isn't fair on the missus if I just leave her with him while I go to a GP. Next year. I will bring him along!

You will need a new ESC with a brushless as well. And new batteries as your cheapie one from Tamiya will not handle it. I am going to get a Novak Mongoose for my Mini-inferno I think. Problem is, things will break much more easily if you do that as the car is so much quicker. Maybe I will just get a mini Hornet and do the Tamiya mods.

Haha you probably do...to be honest I am completely out of touch. I was racing it up to when I was about 18, then since then I only browse now and then but nothing has really changed in technology. Everything is still how it was except for battery type.

Wes, if you haven't already ordered the faster motor for your frog, do it now - I've just spent another 30 mins using my car car it needs to be faster

maybe a Frog is faster than a Hotshot straight off the bat, but you'll still want it faster anyway.

I just saw a video of the standard Frog. Slow as hell! My modded Mini-Z is faster than that!

Haha, you guys are all trying to make your cars slower and I'm trying to work out how I can make mine slower. Unless I can do that Harry's going to wreck it within 5 minutes.

    Wow, thanks Monkey.

    Some good information in there:

"I noticed the ball races were fairly well packed with grease, so I put all the cars ball races in some motor spray for de-greasing and oiled them with some trinity royal oil. This frees things up greatly and would help the standard motor propel the car."

Haha, and the motor revs at 38,000 rpm.

    The upgraded motor sounds great:

"With the car rebuilt and Tekin Mini Rage installed and working nicely, I wanted to test the cars speed and see how it handled the Tekin system. I took the Frog to work and gave it a quick blast around the office with the 5.4kv motor and 13t pinion, the slipper worked hard and the car was super quick – I certainly couldn’t apply full throttle. I then took it to the carpark (parking lot for those of you in the USA) around the back of the offices.
Awesome is all I could say about the speed, the motor felt under geared with the 13t pinion (smallest metal one I had) but speed was still very good.

Rather than just change pinions, since this was just a quick test, I stuck in the 8kv motor and 15t pinion. On the first few seconds of driving this I thought it was no faster than the 5.4 motor- until I realized the tyres were just spinning!
When I managed to control my throttle finger to set off under control (this is REALLY powerful) the top speed was nothing short of awesome, I’d guess similar to my B4 with a 9-10 turn in it or that's how it felt, it was wild."
