Started out on a Haro FST in powder blue.

      ya check the shoes!

then moved on to a Kuwahara Magician EX in dayglow yellow with black GT mags.

i have this in my basement but it needs a restoration which i plan on doing.

and finished on a Redline bmx w/ Sugino 3 pc cranks. FASTas****!

I started on a Lotus Cobra, which was an early 80's Schwinn Predator clone, basically...

then had a purple mongoose FS-1 (just like this with the later graphics)

I broke more than a few of those skyway's before getting some 48's.

1st bike.......late-70's Huffy Rangler like this one. My dad pulled the bananna seat and fenders off and converted it into a "BMX" for me.

2nd bike......1986 GT Performer. I sold it to a friend in '89 to buy a 1988 Haro Master leftover. I've recently tracked down the kid I sold it to back then and bought it back. I am currently restoring it. The first pic is on the night I bought it back.....

3rd bike......1988 Haro Master. I rode that into the early 90's and since this thread is about the 80's, I'll stop there.

Seeing the work in progress pics of the GT make me very happy! My pro world tour was pink and white though

I currently have a 20" Trek that I have been riding since 96, a fixed gear 1990 tvt 92 carbon road bike, a Gary Fisher mtb and a Rockey Mountain mtb.... nothing newer than mid nineties currently.

Miss my Kuwahara and Gt more than any others though.

1st real bike was a Kuwahara Lazer lite, w/ Sugino 3piece cranks
Later I got a sponcership with Powerlite. I had a one "off" Pro "20" frameset with stupid quick steering ~75deg S/Tube & ~69 deg seat tube.. Unfortunatly I sold the frame...
Currently, I still own my Powerlite P24 that was sent to me back in '86
and a "newer" P61 from the late 90's.

Still have my "leathers" in a box upstairs....

I started with a basic huffy then moved up to a crazy looking huffy with plates on the wheels and air foils in most of the angles. I eventualy stripped the air foils off and replaced the wheels and plates with white plastic mags. Wish I had or could find pics

I used to steal my brother's CW Phase 1 when I was a kid....he later gave it to my cousin's kid who destroyed it, and later threw it out.

Every time I see one on ebay for $2500 I send him the link.

'86 Redline 800p frame and fork, Fork lifter bars, 401s, Phil hubs

'90 Kastan Pro XL frame and fork..........still have w/
401s i bought in '84, same DX pedals, same Phil hubs i bought in '86, Redline rims, Redline fork lifter bars...i bought in '87

BILLYMAYS, is that the Kastan built era? the tapered forks seem like it, but the rear dropouts do not.........nor the year.

I had a Mongoose, I don't know the model name though. The one I had was the chrome frame with the maroon and yellow covers on the handlebars, top tube, and headset. I had the maroon mag wheels and maroon seat. There were also 2 other color schemes it came in, the one was chrome with blue and black graphics/covers with blue mags and the last one looked like the old Tampa Bay Buccaneers team bike before they went to black/red/silver. It was white orange and yellow, IIRC. That bike was jumped so many times it's a wonder I didn't kill myself
