Not certain exactly what the letters stand for but the TFSI is Turbo AND Supercharger. The others are as you have them but maybe the letter designations are German ?Cheers

FSI stands for Fuel Stratified Injection, this is a petrol direct injection system.
TSI stands for Turbocharger Supercharger Injection, this is the latest system of turbo and supercharged engines.
and it should follow that tFsi is a combination of both

TSI used to mean dual charged, but no longer so. Like with quattro/ 4Motion, it has become a VW marketing term that, unfortunately, hides technical aspects.Audi retains TSI for the dual-charged engines. On the other hand, the new, completely revised (end of 2007, Tiguan; 2008 all) 1.8 and 2.0 direct-injected and turbo-charged engines are now called TSI by VW.
See the technical forum for details.

TDI also is "Turbo Direct Injection" not Turbo Diesel Injection, although the acronym is used only with the Diesel engine

I have not heard TFSI used, maybe you are confusing the 2.0T FSI as TFSI? My understanding it was FSI and TSI, but never TFSI.

Here is the official US version (Notice I am not including our fellows to the east of us.TFSI- Turbo Fuel Straight Injection
TDI- Turbo Direct Injection **Diesel Only**
TSI-Turbo Straight Injection (If we include our neighbors to the east, the defination above would also be true)
FSI- Fuel Straight InjectionThe names are similar, but too much alphabet soup for me.

Anyway, just wanted to add my two cents. As far as I understood, the TSI, TDI FSI, TFSI and CSI acronyms (OK maybe not CSI) are not all really english acronyms. For instance TDI is not "Turbo Direct Injection" rather these are German autos with German acronyms which us North American Engligh type's try to make up meanings too.
That was my understanding as I have heard and seen the acronyms writen in German and its a bit different. We're on the right track, but my point is just that its German.
