I know this has been touched on before but...that headlight switch is plug-n-play right, however, you need a vag-com to activitate some of the features? Parking lights-only?

    Yeah, yeah, sue me.

I'm pretty sure unless you are right up on the bolts or using a telephoto lens like I was, no one will even notice.

They look better than some flat head screws.

You're the one that took a super closeup pic of your mugen bolts and linked it up in here.

For sure! Link me to some pics!

We will have to get together for a photoshoot sometime.

I don't have any pictures, except one I took the first day I brought it home. I'll get around to a proper shoot one of these days.

NOOOOO , noooo on the BRA! Your car is awesome man but the Bra just straight kills the look imo. If your worried just do the clear stuff, that just detracts from the beauty of the car.

    Otherwise, excellent pics!!!

Hmm..I like it btw, the BRA for a long trip

    Thanks man! I appreciate it.

I've owned it over a week and in that time it has been sunny maybe two days.

Also, I might bite the bullet and order exhaust within the next 24 hours.

might as well get the pro account right off the bat.
i think its only like $25 for a whole year, and you get a good deal of storage space for your images.

Was going through my Photobucket account and found some interesting photos...

One of my step-dad's friends came to my high school grad party in 2004 and I drove/took some shots of his car with my Civic.

I fell in love when I drove it, but never thought I would ever own one. Four years later, I graduated from college and now own a 2008.

And what's best, every time you wipe down the dash with Armor All, you have pictures to show the world!

Well I just graduated from college and wanted to buy myself a new car as a reward.

My main thing was getting a manual transmission and sunroof w/ a low, low APR, or even no APR.
Well Mitsubishi screwed me over on the Evo X with APR so I looked in '08 GTIs.

I drove an '09 GTI tonight just to see how it was and it was awesome. They had just pulled it and I was the first to drive it . (Crazy driving a car with only 10 miles)

Tonight I had the tough decision of picking either:
    * '08 Candy white GTI w/ leather and navigation
    * '08 Candy white GTI w/ heated cloth and sunroof
After debating for a few hours I went with the sunroof over navigation. With the $4000 or so I saved I will just buy a Pioneer in-dash if need be. I also really liked the plaid cloth, as I was never a big fan of leather.
    Now my questions..

    1) What's the best suspension in terms of ride quality and ride height? I want a low stance, but also with a nice ride.

    2) What's the widest offset and width I could run without rubbing? (I like my wheels to sit flush with the fender well.)

    3) What are some of the first mods you guys recommend?
    Thanks guys.

Proud to be a new owner (whenever they deliver the car) and look forward to interacting more on the board.

Edit: I'm such a noob to the VW world because I've owned a Honda since I started driving:

Washed the car today and took some shots.

Looks like you fell to peer pressure and removed the PSU sticker, best thing that could have been done to the car.

Any shots of the fuel filler cap?

Installed the GHL exhaust last night... took about 1.5 hours, but it still needs some small adjustments.

Pulled the car in the garage and went to work.

Around 9pm I finished it up.

I worked on the license plate bolts yesterday:

After having my Honda dropped on the ground for 8 years, I am not ready for another rough/bumpy ride.

it wont be anything like you are expecting. the suspension is very good and you dont give up too much ride comfort after lowering
