Anyone know around how much a tuner shop would charge for this install, or how many hours it should take them to put it in. I don't have a garage at the moment or the time to install it myself. That's really the only thing holding me back I have a feeling it's going to be a lot.

I installed this turbo setup on my 2003 vw gti 1.8t i have the following to support the turbo.. i have IE Rod's not really needed but i like over kill.. 630cc injectors, FMIC kit, Snow water meth, 4'' maf , LSD, 2 step mod, spec 3+ clutch and LWFW, and Blitz turbo timer. oh and yeah the UNI 630cc file.. best software i ever had UNI knows best.. my car on ko4 apr software was running 220-225 to the wheels.. last week on the dyno 380 on 91 413HP on 93 and water meth. this turbo will make you wet your pants.. lil lag on the start but on the highway if you get on it... it gets on you!! 3/4 track time last friday was 11.50 @121MPH.... bottom line suck it up buy it BEST turbo i ever had hands down!!!! oh and i installed it in one day and drove it that night..really easy install!!

I would try to keep it around the 300whp mark, 15psi ish, then upgrade your rods when you can afford it. Once that is done crank it up to 24psi and hold on.

How big of a turbo can you go using our regular aftermarket downpipes? (ones for ko3/ko4)

Also what type of intercooler setups fit this kit?

Your average aftermarket downpipe is 3" so you would be fine with anything upto a 3582R, there are guys running 3582Rs' with this setup. Our FMIC kit, which is also for sale on the site in the drop down menu would be more than enough for most turbos people are running.

I know we were emailing back and forth about this kit last spring and I haven't forgot you. Looks like it will be next fall after my next deployment that I will be getting the 50 Trim kit. Something about having to replace my rear bumper ruined my plans for this fall.

Yep thanks to RPI and Avon body shop in Mt. Vernon I now have a euro rear bumper. $900 with the bumper swap and some other body work.

I'll try to get some picts up soon. The GTI is still dirty from my balm down Chuckanut DR. Friday night. Alot of built up leaves that were on the road are now in my car.
