Just a few Kinetic intercooler install pic's.
    Rebar modification:

    Original Piping layout

I ended up going with 2.5" piping and used the original piping as a template since everything fit so well

Now fitted behind the OEM Bora-R bumper. Very little trimming had to be done to get it to fit the way that I wanted. The couplers did stick out a little so the mesh inserts on the sides had to be trimmed a little as well. I think that it came out pretty good.

This is a Great FMIC and as long as you take your time installing not much trimming will be required. to CtsTurbo

Laying out the piping is very easy. The most difficult part is installing the IC itself and that may include modification to your current rebar. I have some pictures of the mods that I did to my rebar a couple of posts up. I also had to trim the inside of my bumper cover but only a very little.

I just put my order in

  16. 07-14-2010 08:43 PM #122
haha now I see I installed mine way to high in the bumper which is why I couldn't for the life of me get the side vents in... oh well after about 3 passes in the thing I got over that quickly! I guess I could lower it down and slide the vents in but I'm getting use to seeing the silicone elbows and pipping now and I would be more annoyed knowing that the silicone hoses had those extra bends in it instead of being nice and straight

Great price for a great preforming kit, only thing is having to reuse the stock TB hose but since I got a forge one one the way with a DV relocation kit once the black hoses get restocked it's not much a problem

to CTS turbo! thanks for the deal!

EDIT: oh yeah I like being able to see the K's in the end tanks too =) when people ask me what the stand for I have fun making up German sound words haha

Thanks for the review, you can fit the vents in on Golfs, Jettas, R32 bumpers, 20th bumpers and even euro bumpers, i've seen it with my own eyes, but it took some patience

We normally sell the piping only with the kit Kenny.

I love this set up...My only problem which has been a headache is the dv recirculation port isnt flanged like stock and my dv hose has blown off serveral times now matter how tight i have it cranks down

The stock is flanged. Why did you guys not flange this port. 20psi of boost keeps winning the battle. It takes days but but im not into the boost all the time so it would be quicker if i was.

First time i've heard of this problem, make sure both the surfaces are clean and you have a good clamp, they're not flanged, they're designed for slip fit silicon/rubber hoses.

How many mm are the bungs on the core? I have a FMIC now with 63mm piping but it will eventually be changed out for a larger one like this. How much for the core alone?

    cheers.

What do you mean 'bungs' the core dimensions are 24" x 8" x 2.75"

The inlet and outlet are 2.5" on the tanks

sry, my EngLiSh not so big.

I meant inlet/outlet pipes. 2.5" is 63mm. Good, and at what $ for a core standalone?

Educate me on why I should pay 725 for this vs ~450 for a eurosport? I am serious not being sarcastic.

Because ours is bigger and has a bar and plate core, which will work better for most of our customers. If you like slow cars then you're in the wrong spot.
