You need to trim a little the rebar.
Im doing mine this week-end and will provide pics of the install.

I have all parts in my living room and it looks like a pretty straight forward install.

    Stock turbo 1.8T:

Depending on where the strut tower sits it could fit.

Man, what a joke. I come in here expecting a good deal but see the price is way too high, esp. when considering price per HP gain....

That's ok, we don't cater to broke "43" year old ebayers, we cater to people that want a good product that's going to make some horsepower. So take your posts elsewhere or you'll get them erased.

An intercooler is not all about HP's... $$$...
People know that it prevents heat soak and helps heavy modded cars have constant power.
Good and bad IC can be found out there and the price ranges from a cheap 400$ to costly 1300$.

In my case i bought it just for the look!
But dont get distracted by the girls in my pic cuz i just want to show you my IC setup!

It's the same as this, but this is cheaper, and uses a Garrett or Precision turbo.

We don't sell those turbos with this kit, I would go with a Precision 50trim, they're an option in the drop down menu. $2295 shipped for the hardware kit, we also have injectors, fuel pumps and software.

Im planning to buy a FMIC but i dont knw which one to pick from... the eurosport one claims gains of hp up to 11... have you dyno tested yours and see how much HP you gain??? im aware that the intercooler's main purpose is to keep the power consistent but can you show me a dyno of a before and after???? also if order the Kinetic does it come with instructions on how to install?

Compare the size of the cores and your answer should be simple. The FMIC we sell will support a real 450HP, the one you're looking at would be hard pressed supporting 250whp, that being said FMIC kits dont 'gain' horsepower.

This is how it works, lets say you do 3 pulls in your car on the dyno. Pull one lets say you make 250HP, pull 2 your intercooler isn't as efficient because it becomes heat soaked, so your second pull results in 20 less HP, then your third pull the intercooler is even more heat soaked so lets say you make 215HP.

If you upgrade to a larger intercooler like our FMIC, those dyno pulls described above will result in a steady 250HP rather than a loss in power. If anyone says their FMIC increases power they are misleading you.

If you order the kit from us we send out a CD with installation pictures, additionally there is a handy write up from Alex @ Unitronic right here:

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4416455

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    cheers

    Clay
