That's a meaty midrange. How is driving around day to day? Any problems with traction?

This is the very first Stage 3 touchscreen Labonte setup done in the country on an FSI car, and the results were simply amazing.

You are welcome, we appreciate you making the trip up and letting us work on your car. I am glad the results were beyond my original expectations. By the way, how is your face? Your smile last night was huge.

      Matt

I dunno how my face feels yet....I'll let you know when I stop smiling

Seriously though, I love the way the car feels and I was blown away by the way the car responded to the meth and your custom tune. It was awesome seeing the car put up consistent numbers dyno run after dyno run, even when we kept hot lapping it. Now I just gotta learn how to play with the touchscreen doohickie.

      Thanks again buddy!

      Traction? What is that?...

Yeah, its very easy to break traction but I've adapted my driving style to try to minimize it. I think I got to get an LSD soon. Day to day driving feels great...its a k04 so its pretty close to a smooth stock feeling, it just spools up a little harder and doesn't die early out like the k03.

Link to this water/meth setup your using?

How is it different from a snow performance kit running off a boost signal?

The thing that makes this system so awesome is the Injection MAP for Meth is built off of Injector Duties. Not Just Boost.

So heres the scenario, 50% throttle 10lbs of boost. Need Meth?
90% Throttle 10lbs of boost need meth?

By building the map for the meth spary off off Injector duty you are more likely to be spraying the meth only when it is needed and not using meth uncontrollably. Secondly you can build a better daily driving map and really dial in the correct amounts of water/meth for every scenario.

      Please, any questions feel free.

Does that display boost pressure or meth injection pressure?

    12. 10-24-2008 09:47 AM #12
That is a "touch screen" display,

Yes it displays boost, Inj. Duty, and Meth spray

You will have this information on display real time.

      Matt,
I'm currently running the snow performance w/m kit. I have the option to run it off of boost or maf signal, currently i am running off of boost. Can i purchase this controller separately and will it work with my snow performance kit? I would rather not have to buy a whole new kit just to be able to use the screen.

    16. 10-24-2008 05:47 PM #16

You can buy it here. This is the stage 3 CVontroller and is available for an upgrade to all systems. The pump and the kits are similar, the magic is in this controller!!!!

Its only $269 for this upgrade.

Will the controller work on the Snow W/M kit?

    18. 10-24-2008 09:37 PM #18
      Matt,
Mind if i give you guys a call on monday? I have a few technical questions regarding the system.

    19. 10-24-2008 11:25 PM #19
What are the specs on your K04 kit? I see it says KMD but what about upgrades like injectors and hpfp and such

    20. 10-25-2008 12:10 AM #20
OP: Do you have pictures of where and how the controller is mounted inside your car?

Yes the kit will work with Snow w/m. All you would need is the touchscreen S3 Controller.

This was definitely a very cool project especially being not ONLY one of a few K04s but the first one running this Labonte set up. Big Shout out to Dan at Labonte for working with us!!

      Revo Stage 3

Thanks. I hope you get great #'s as well but honestly the best part about the meth is that you can consistently hit those same #'s....the car pulls hard every time.

BAM! ....as far as installation, there is a small black usb type wire coming out of the steering column that plugs in the back.

Where does the controller plug into to receive a signal for the injector duty cycle?

Pulls signal from one of the Injector signal wires.

I heard from someone that he went to another dyno to back up the results here. Care to Share?

Here is a pic of the controller logging its highest output today.

how difficult is it to tune one of these controllers? i've been pretty dissatisfied with my snow controller's inaccurate start and full spray psi settings, but this seems like a very capable substitute!
