i would choose land rover.
everybody who owns it that i know of, NEVER get pulled over..
some reason
1. it is expensive
2. it looks heavy, but not sporty, and not much of a bling effect
3. it obviously (majority ) of them can't go very fast at all
what do you think is the ultimate "NON PULL OVER" car?
and why?

A Volvo wagon. In a conservative color, a Volvo turbo wagon is as good as invisible to police.

Least likely? A cop car from out of town or out of state. It's like having diplomatic immunity. It's a loooong way between donut shops unless you drive 90 mph.

Not mine. Don't ask why.

Pontiac Asstec. The cops don't want to look at this damn thing any longer in a regular traffic stop.

crown vics and caprices. my dad has owned both, and has been pulled over ONCE in the 12 years hes been driving each
he also had an fbi hat in the back of the caprice he got when his company did work on the new fbi lab in VA.
oh...and the ONE time he was pulled over....was for having a worn off registration sticker on his liscence plate he said it looked like the cop had a trainee in the car...he didnt get a ticket or anything

Exactly why I want one with dark tint, black steelies, and a nice big CB antenna on the truck. I'll take mine in dark blue with the half-moon lamps, please!
I like the FBI hat idea!

my friend got pulled over in his land rover defender 90 all the time.. he eventually lost his license, because of it... and a few of my other friends had vandalism problems.. so there goes that theory

Geo Metro. You can't speed in them or they'll fall apart.
I always plug in USBs right the first time.

I second this vote. A friend of mine has a Crown Vic that he bought from a Police auction. It still has the strobe light on the drivers side although it WAS deactivated. We took this car on a trip to NJ for business and you should have seen the people almost kill each other trying to get out of the way on the highway. We pretty much drove 90 the whole way and were getting waves and head nods from the actual Police cars on the road.

LOL. I wish. I got tagged last year doing 80 in a 65 zone. I passed an unmarked Impala. I was focused on the road and driving, and wasn't profiling cars. I should have noticed the 3 antennas on the trunk.
At least he pulled over someone else at the same time.

I actually think older beater cars are more likely to get pulled over... I always see black people getting pulled over in my area (mostly white), and it really pisses me off. I see TONS of mom's driving their SUV's, on cell phones, blowing lights, stop signs, no signals, but they NEVER get pulled over...
my parents have an 2000 accord, and it's pretty much invisible... My friend has a volvo 850 (black), and it's also been pretty good in a few shady situations... I think the ultimate, would definately be a wagon of some sort, like a older camry or accord wagon... Theirs just no reason to look at them, unless they go flying by you

It helps, of course, to look like you have money. It's funny I never hear the word "class" in the US, but it sure as hell isn't less important here.
call it potatography

Just a thought... the all stock one driven by a white female, doing the speed limit, staying in a straight line and obeying all the rules of the road.

It all depends on what other cars are around you. If you have a pimped out car and the person next to you has a sports car then the pimped out car will get pulled over. If you are following a NSX and a cop pulls out and the NSX takes off then no matter what you drive they are going to nail you with the ticket.
This is why I try to find Camaro or Mustangs they will normally get pulled over before most other cars.
In my jeep I passed cops doing 80 in 55 zones and they never once went to pull me over.

Yup, it's pretty much impossible to get pulled in an ex-copcar. I LOVE mine. I prefer the Impalas from the mid 80s, back during the last of the Quadrajet carburated HO 350s:

A grey station wagon, like my B3. It's non-descript appearance has saved my butt several times.

Here is my car. So far so good. I usually get a wave if I fly by a speed trap on the highway. Ex Texas Highway Patrol

Where can i find a ex-cop car for a decent price? I'll be in Chicago next year... do you think that a caprice or crown vic would get vandalized if I leave it on the street in a sort of rough area?

25. 06-25-2002 10:45 PM #25
