REPORT IM SPAM HERE

Hello everyone-

It seems that recently, the wonderful folks who actually think they're gonna gain something by spamming forums are getting a little smarter. They are now using the forum IM / PM system to send spam messages to users.

Since there's not an easy built in way to report IM spam, please do so in this thread.

Please put the following information in your post:

1) a copy / paste of the IM received, including the sender's username.

2) if possible (to make life easier for your friendly neighborhood admins) a link to that user's profile (can be had by right-clicking on the user's name in the IM box and choosing "open link in new window" and copy / pasting that url here).

The staff will monitor this thread and take care of the spammers as fast as we can.

As for emails coming directly to you, there's nothing we can really do about that except what Rich said above - if you hide your email address in your profile, it makes it harder for them to harvest it and spam you.
