OH god this thread is painful and I was born in 86. No wonder half the vortex is the way it is.... you poor buggers had to endure this crap! Haha.

    Love bengs camel toe post.

"I don’t want the company to be driven by numbers. I want it to be driven by making better cars and contributing to society. That will turn into profit, which we can use to develop better cars. That should be the cycle, and that will, as a result, build a company with a strong foundation."

Help me out here... my co-worker and I were just trying to remember the name of this as-seen-on-TV product.

It was this cheesy commercial for a weird product that allowed you to stick these electric diodes to your belly, and it would shock your ab muscles while you just sat there.

Basically it was a machine to do sit-ups for you if you were too lazy to do them on your own!

    The Ab Energizer

The ex gf actually bought us one of these b/c we wanted to know if it really worked. After a while, it started to hurt from the shocks
I felt like Napolean Dynamite with the time machine

    Great thread!

My two favorites as a kid were Micro Crisp, that foil that you could use to cook ANYTHING in the microwave with, and Ron Popeil's pasta maker.

HOLY CRAP! I forgot about Miss Cleo! Wasn't she involved in a class-action lawsuit by a ton of her customers?

Also, Miss Cleo reminds me of the infomercials of the "Psychic Friends Network" that was endorsed by LaToya Jackson!

Some of you need a dictionary. Look up commercial and then look up infomercial.

I know there's a huge difference dude. But when I posted up this thread, I thought the word "infomercial" would capture the spirit of the
product TV advertisements that I was thinking of.

I know that most of these aren't the 30 minute or 1 hour long infomercials, but I think you get my point.

This thread is dedicated to the corny "as seen on TV" ads (commercials and/or infomercials) for the types of gadgets, gizmos and bizarre services
that most would typically laugh at, or see as a scam or crappy, cheap throw-away product. It's not exactly a thread that was meant to solicit high-brow
discussion or technical commentary. (I'll leave those sort of threads to the pundits in The Car Lounge forum.)

I did mention Mr. Little in the original post of this thread! But your pic is worthy of mentioning him again.
He's hilarious when he's cruisin really fast with the scissor kicks on the Gazelle! WHICH, BY THE WAY... I just remembered...
The wifey and I bought a Gazelle about 4 years ago! We used it for about 2 weeks. It now sits in the basement and does a good
job holding coats and stuff like that when we aren't using them.

The funniest thing is, when we first set up our Gazelle, it was near our couch in the living room. It has a cup-holder attachment on it.
I would sit on the couch and put my beer in the Gazelle's cup-holder while I sat on my ass watching TV.

I saw the mention, but I felt we needed pics and video to do him justice.

I fully enjoy the way he says buttox.

Oh, that thing with the stupidest name I've ever heard. GT Xpress 101?

Wow, I wonder if they're trying to tell us it's fast and simple to use?

I wonder what they'll name it when they improve it: the GT3tard Xpress 101 Turbo Viper?

OMG! Have you seen the DC shoes & snowboard commercials with Billy Mays!??!?! SO FUNNY!!!

I love when they pitch the DC snowboard boot lacing system as superior to traditional snowboard laces which can cause bloody fingers!!!
