Nope, she knows her place is in the kitchen, lookin' good. Look at all those utensils. Egg whisk on the belt? Damn efficient!

    Amazon.com
    Or better, Amazon.co.uk

The UK site uses your US Amazon login and account info, so its easy to buy there. They ship fast too.
Just beware of buying UK DVDs - they'll have region 2 coding.

Think Geek actually has a lot of Doctor Who stuff as well.

Karen Gillan, ex of Doctor Who, was on Craig Ferguson last night. Two Scots on one stage... She's the adorablest girl in the world.

    Clip!

The best part of the Ferguson interview was when Karen said she's moved to LA.
It will make stalking her easier!

Christmas Special was great and I love Clara... very clever way to introduce her and I think their dynamic is great.

that clip of Ferguson and Karen was great

My kids are really into Dr. Who. I wish I would have watched the series back in the old B&W days when I was a kid, but I thought the effects were horrible. I've watched almost all the episodes since the new series started. They are really pretty good. Very well done.

Yeah, I LOVE the new shows (from '08 forward) but even with that in mind, I just can't get into the "classic" ones... too cheesy.

It was a good Xmas special - certainly better than last year's tree debacle.

Clara is too cute. With two appearances now, the Spring premier should be a good one to finally bring her into the fold. Hopefully Moffat writes it as well.

I'm still not over Amy Pond and her glorious red hair yet (smart one word answer -- I called it out -- "Pond").

I found it a little odd that they chose not to have the Doctor remember her (by her voice) from S07E01 "Asylum of the Daleks" until the end of the episode when he looks at her gravestone and sees her name.

Better than last years.. although I am scared it may just "jump the shark" this year. Not sure how I feel about the whole love interest between the Doctor and Clara.

I enjoy the new series but I actually prefer the classic series. People always bring up the how bad the old effects were. I guess my imagination was able to overcome them.

Funny how in the classic series the effects were cheesy but the story lines were brilliant... With the new series the effects are brilliant but the story lines are cheesy.

The Christmas special really was fantastic.

I have enjoyed all of the Christmas specials so far.

Agreed on the stories being a little cheesy. I thought the Christmas special was more of an introduction to the next companion than an actual "Christmas Special".

The Christmas specials always tend to be "lighter" stories. If this snowmen story had been in the middle of a regular season we'd all be talking about how weak it was, but in the context of the Christmas Special, it fit in just fine.

I like the current Doctor but a lot of the eps have been hit or miss, and in comparison to Christmas specials past (not including the "Wood King/Queen") this one was a miss.

Maybe our expectations have been lowered by lackluster low-budget episodes in recent years. You'd think the BBC would pony up for higher production values on their crown jewel. The frozen nanny looked like she was rendered on a 286.

While Doctor Who is a long time BBC icon, I'd bet Top Gear is the current 800 lb gorilla of the Beeb.

    More likely Downtown Abbey.

Could you imagine Clarkson as the 12th Doctor!

Just jumping in to say hi! My wife got me watching this after she watched the 9th doctor series, so I started with Tennant. We are now on Season 5 ep9. Wasn't sure I would like Matt Smith, but he is growing on me. I miss Tennant though. Man was he good. Anyways, hopefully will be caught up soon.

I liked Eccleston for the one season. Tennant was becoming a bit of an ass towards the end.

    Damn, I miss Rose.

Eccleston is a vastly underrated Doctor, I really liked him.

My wife and I found Ecclestone's Doctor to be too whiny and self-centred for our liking. Glad he left.

Alright, Let's rank em'... Favorite to least favorite.

Tom Baker/ McCoy - Sorry I can pick between them.

Smith - I've been really impressed with Smith.

Pertwee - His had some good stories and I dug the whole UNIT interaction.

Eccelston - Loved seeing a true actor take on the Doctor

Colin Baker - Like that he didn't put up with his companion's crap

Peter Davidson - I think his companions outshined him.

David Tennant - Just never warmed up to him.

    Patrick Troughton

Paul McGann - I really think that he shouldn't be in the Doctor Who canon...but I think if he would have had some true seasons instead of a tv movie I would have liked him.

I only go back as far as Eccleston (never watched the older series), so:

    Smith > Eccleston > Tennant

If I had to rank the new Doctors, it would be Tennant > Eccleston > Smith.

Myself and my 8yo son have recently started watching the show (the one with Matt Smith) and man, I've never thought it would be as creepy!! The episodes with Weeping Angels and plastic dolls were particularly scary! Have Doctor Who shows always been this scary ??

Also, it is difficult to get my head around all the different time lines, especially when it comes to River Song and Doctor relationship.

So far.... I don't know what took me so long to start watching it!

I've been watching for a few years with my 8 and 12 year old.

The Weeping Angels are the most creepy it's been in my opinion.

The one in the forest ? Yup, perhaps one of the scariest episodes or movies I've ever seen. Horror genre writers must take a note on how to scare people without crazy jump scenes or blood and gore.
