its called vignetting, it occurs due to the lense used. OR in this case i think its part of the frame/matte it was in.

Unlikely thats a vignette. I would say wither a frame/matte or they are sitting under some sort of overhang.

Sorry fellas, been on vacation, which has Dopeness. I went to the D-Day (and now WWII) Museum in New Orleans. I have to say it's the most BAD ASS war museum I'm ever been to. Its so moving. I have some pics that I will upload in a bit.

I recommend EVERY person going to see this. Not just the place is amazing but the people walking through it. So many stories, so many people crying.

The Holocaust museum in DC is also pretty serious. Nothing will move me like standing on the Normandy beaches though.

They got any locations with rusting beach landing vehicles or dragons teeth or anything left up? That would do it for me, to see physical leftovers of the invasion.

From what I remember . . . there are some old German bunkers you can go into, and the ground is cratered. The cemetery is what will really stay with you though.

I have to see if I still have my pics from the visit.

    water drop in space

"The image was taken in 1966 by Lunar Orbiter 1 and heralded by then-journalists as the Image of the Century. It was taken about two years before the Apollo 8 crew snapped its more famous color cousin. Recently, modern technology has allowed the recovery of higher resolution images from old data sources such as Lunar Orbiter tapes than ever before."
