I absolutely hate a6 2.7t...

they are luxurious... nice to drive... pretty quick for size and weight..
A pain in my vagina to work on. I think we have narrowed the issue down on out a6 to bad wires... I cannot find what the 373 relay with 15amp fuse does above the relay panel but it keeps popping. Once o figure that out my short + to - will fix and the Ecu should exit limp mode.

No you need 17s or a select few 16s. W a spacer it MIGHT work.

Thanks, still hoping someone can help. I just really need to ditch the wheels I have they are a terrible choice of a wheel. I found the car I wanted and it can with the wheels I wasn't about ready to not get the car over wheels.

The Louisiana roads have vibrated my ecu to crap. Anyone have a 1.8t ecu I could swap to confirm? I will drive back to test. Lol assuming I can get the ecu to fire the fuel pump relay and throttle body. Odd thing is, is if it starts, no problems... Just chance of it starting, the poor relay chatters something fierce till it starts. Yoda, do your magic, it's killing me drive the 2.5 everyday!

That's really really strange. Why do you suspect the ecu?

One of 2 common links between FP relay and throttle body. That and power output stages... Seems to be one or the other. I wish you guys could see it. Turn the key to acc, the cel flickers crazy fast, the FP relay clicks crazy fast, and the throttle body clicks randomly. I pulled the ecu, and it all looks good. Actually one of the cleanest I've ever seen, even the giac chipset is still solid. And there's not one 1.8t enthusiast around, let alone an aeb specific.

Might just be an immobilizer issue, try a valet key or another key.

When porsche cut the new keys, I didn't give them my code and the car wasn't there. They worked fine when I got back, just had to code the keyless entry to get that to work. They just cut some new blanks, and I was on my way

I know, right! It kinda sucks when the car you own is soo incredibly awesome stock that standard mods just don't help. I wish I had something like a passat that I could customize and turn into a good car.
