Morio, I'm just trying to justify the rationale and put it to practical use. I still don't buy it...
Eric, It's lower than you in the front.. all that I care about. Getting to Houston to cut out my FRAME isn't high on the list... Kinda scared of that step..

x100 (though change Killeen to Texas roads in general)
Hell, my GLI lip at stock height rubs like crazy on certain roads I drive on unless I'm careful as hell.

GLi's were horrible about it. Fcatory lowered springs, painted lower valence that's a lil lower than a s tock one.. The stock ones take a beating too, but they are more flexible and not painted so it's not as obvious.

Yeah it may be low but I love the look of the MKIV 04.5 GLI.
Fortunately all the scraping that's happened is out of sight but I'm definitely looking into those metal skidplates a vortex user has made for GLI lips.
Also, I forget who it was but who knows a reputable window tinter in the area?

Also, anyone know any decent audio shops around here? I'm starting to shop around for a place to do radio installs for when I upgrade the kinda ****ty Monsoon system that's currently in my car. (And yes... I AM bored at work...)

YOu may just need to have the wires flipped on the back side. I know some of the monsoon setups came with some wires reversed, basically eliminating all the bass...

Ive got all my stuff wired up through the monsoon system. Sounds excellent. And you get to retain a cleaner factory look
