Joe, I will probably wait until we get back to MD. I have a friend that does body work, so the prices are great.

We can do the Thursday night meets back over at the old spot in HH. I think we would get more exposure that way and its right there near all those restaurants so if some people want to stick around after bs'ing, they can go in and grab some food too

Well, my classes will be on Thursday nights from 730 - 1000. It is a short semester and I always skip a class or two so Thursday works better for me than Friday. I have no guarantees for this week but I can do next week. Weather is gonna suck all this week anyway.

Speaking of crap weather, I got the R squirling around some corners today.

Any of you Vortexers driving an R32? I know they are in town but haven't seen them online yet.

You saw a Blue R with Gold wheels here in Killeen? I have been thinking about gold wheels on mine for a couple weeks now. I can't do it if someone else here is already rockin it. I would love to see it though.

      I think it looks tits.

My BBs wheels were originally Gold centered, but my buddy polished them or something before i bought them. polished then clear coated them IIRC.

Turns out I signed up for the early evening class on Thursdays. I should be out of class by 7:30 and will drive up to HH and see if anyone is around. I don't expect anyone to be there due to the not-so-Texas weather, but I will try be there anyway. Hopefully next week will be a bit nicer.

I did get my side job complete and it turned out well enough that I am lined up for a second. Some of my upcoming weekends will be occupied but I am looking forward to giving a hand. I think the biggest issues right now is the weather. I am not down with cold hands and slipping wrenches. We need some better temperatures.

I went up to "the spot behind panda express" and met another dubber. Nice white turbo jetta. Had some decent conversations and he gave me a bit of info on the local group. I got there about 7:30 and stayed till 8:00. It was pretty cold and it's the wife's birthday so I didn't want to stay too long. I plan on being there next Thursday at about 8:00.

      When it warms up.

Got a buddy of mine who is interested in giving a hand also. He does not have a Euro but has recently found interest in DIY car work. We are going to Austin this week to pick up some beer supplies. Hopefully we will have a this batch done soon enough that we can have a few Home Brews. Going to do an Oatmeal Stout. Keep an eye on the weather and we should be able to get some hands on soon.

Personal stash. When i need money I start selling. I've always done that. not stolen stuff. It either found its way to the trash somehow or a buddy ets'd and had extra stuff.

      Either way, whatever Joe.

Got some side money coming and I cant decide what I want for my .:R. What you all think?

Wheels: Really need to ditch these stocks They look , it would lighten up all four corners, would make a set of rotors look so much nicer.

Rotors & Pads: Got big breaks but need better equipment, Stock stuff makes too much noise, AR Race (double slots) would look beautiful and add alot of stopping power, Nice cost if I matched it with a cheap exhaust (Neuspeed) for a DOUBLE UPGRADE!!!

Exhaust: I want BORLA / BORLA wants my money . More power, better look, nice sound. $890 just doesn't seem fair for exhaust though . I could go Neuspeed and buy it with rotors (but I think I would feel like I was missing something). Anyone else running borla or neuspeed?

I'm thinking wheels now and then doing a consolidation of parts and installing them all at once. Maybe give my car a 20k makeover next year...

A Borla set up sounds nice on a R32.

Have you thought about going to a muffler/exhaust shop and seeing if they can do a custom set up. I have seen a custom Exhaust set up for an .:R done in Hawaii. What they did was just get a high flow Cat and a Borla Muffler. They deleteted the resonator and re did it in 3" piping from the cat on back! They just rewelded the stock tips and kept it OEM looking..

I myself got a custom Borla set up done. Its 2 1/2 piping from headers back, resonator deleted, with a down facing tail pipe to keep it looking stock. I've had it for 3 years. It sounds great and I had no problems since.. Did I mention you can pay less than half of $890..Its something to think about!

Hers a decent link to what it sounds on a Passat..It's no .:R but you get the idea : V6 Passat

I have actually seen decent custom made exhausts come out of Bill's Muffler in CC. I would not even stop to think about them if I had need seen them do some awesome transformations in the past. Wouldn't hurt to take a look around, for sure.
