Well thanks to Corey, my TDI got some new wheels, just have to get my wife to let me buy another set of new tires after just buying the set for the 15". Does anyone need a complete set of 15" with brand new tires (Less than 200 miles) with full warranty, 40,000 mile and lifetime balancing.

im parting the Mk2 GLI coming up here soon. the good handling parts, short shifter, seats and TMtuning Projector Aero headlights are going to be removed(with cross member). wiring harness will be taken off to be saved for an engine swap into a scirroco when i find one.

if someone wants to buy the rolling shell with NEW neuspeed lowering springs and unknown struts with out the stuff mentioned above, ill take 200 dollars. otherwise its going to scrap.

Transmission is for sale as well. its a 2Y. short ratio or whatever, Tom told me what it is, so i am not positive what it positively is.

WTH on scraping the Jetta. That is a pretty clean shell, was even bummed Tom parted it to the extent he did for you. Oh well life goes on.

Someone buy my track bike, tell your "fast" friends at work I'll even bring them to their first track day if they aren't a huge DB.

Tom didnt part it to the extent for me. ???? He took it apart and put the engine in the other mk2 he bought. I got the shell with what it had in it because Tom took all the go fast goodies and rare parts out of it. I'd rather dump my money into the Audi Coupe than the mk2. It's not that clean btw. The more I looked over it, it had a bunch of rust spots and cancer forming underneath.

We mainly have people who show up because they love Audi and vw, even Benz, Volvo, Porsche and BMW.

I bought the car from Tom and it was incomplete. No engine, no trans, no carpet, no headliner, no pillar trim, broken tail lights, bunch of little stuff missing.

The seats that are in the car are mint. Minus the fact the foam on the bolsters is squished down, but no tears.

Ignition is jacked up, so it has a push button. The paint is all dirty because he didn't fix the rear main seal leak for 4 years. So the entire engine bay and rear of the car was coated in oil.


Just some food for thought, for the people who are messaging me and telling me I shouldn't have patted the car out since it was soooooo well maintained before web Tom had it.

I bought the car from Tom and it was incomplete. No engine, no trans, no carpet, no headliner, no pillar trim, broken tail lights, bunch of little stuff missing.

Also, I bought the car so it will still be fully restored over a lengthy period of time so that it can be done to perfection. This is to be my project to bond with my boys and teach them how to use tools. I actually requested just the shell so I can make the car my own. I don't want anyone's finished product. The joy of making a car that fits my personality is exactly why I went with a shell. I will be consulting with Tom on most of the mechanics to be sure so part of his legacy will live in it.

Well I finally got the wheels on the TDI yesturday. Discount Tire was being weird for some reason. The wheels I got say 5x112, but they are redrilled for 5x100. They didn't want to put new tires on the rims for they didn't think they would fit, which I can see where there coming from 5x112 won't fit on 5x100. I told them they where on a MKIV GTI and they said yea they will work on a GTI, but a TDI is different (Lug pattern) Really guys!! A Golf is just a slow GTI..... Anyways, I had to take the wheel off in the parking lot and mount it up and show them that they worked before they would put tires on them......Well I got the RS4 like I wanted, but I don't know if I like them now, for they are not your normal looking RS4 rims. I was looking for all Hyper silver and these are machined face with gun metal. Watcha think..??? You won't hurt my feelings at all and yes the wheel gap fix is coming, so back off!!!!

Looking good. I have just never liked a silver face or machine face with either a gunmetal or black back. But the wheels look good and would look better in a hyper silver.
