Tried to search, but didn't find anything.

My '03 EV has kind of "wobbly" armrests on the middle two seats.

I think the PO's kids used to do gymnastics on them or something.

Does anyone have a link or a couple pics on how this can be addressed?
It looks like the plastic cap might pop off, and hoping there's a bolt underneath that I can tighten up?

    Thanks
    Dave

My '01 EV MV had the same issue, but with the driver's armrests.

The plastic cap pops off with a little effort and without tools. Underneath is a 6mm hex head bolt that you can snug up.

Since it's recessed a bit, and since I don't own T-handled hex wrenches, I used the long side of my wrench and put an adjustable wrench on the end.

If you see a silver EV MV equipped with Yakima racks in Mission Viejo tomorrow, wave to me.

But it is not broken and floppy like this one?

If that is the case -> the "nose" has broken off the aluminium part. Here is the solution that another T4 owner used to repair the "floppy armrest":

    Greetings, Martin

I saw your comment on the "nose" piece. Where could I get one of these? My armrest for a 93 is in tact but missing this piece.

    More info here...

I have used one of the kits to fix the floppy arm rest issue.

I am also missing the factory piece (shown in last photo above) on 2 of my '03 EV-MV armrests. Does anyone have the part # of this piece? It looks like it might be 703 881 082. In order for the 'gowesty-fix' to work, is this piece not also required

I removed the working armrest from the left side and the part # is 701 881 081 so, the right side should be 701 881 082, not 703 881 082 as noted in my previous post. Does anyone know if this piece is available seperately? Failing that, I'd be open to purchasing a used pair, as long as they're both right-side armrests (driver or passenger), in good mechanical condition and not overpriced.

Speaking of which, the dealer wants $361.20 for the complete assembly so, needless to say...I won't be ordering one anytime soon!

This rather blurry pic (my apologies) shows 1 of 2 broken right armrests (by PO's).

There's a junkyard in the San Diego area that often has a EuroVan or two in stock; in fact they have one now (as of 3/3/13): http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ssd/ptd/3589008441.html

Give them a shout, maybe they' have one, can take some pix and ship.

Thanks BFG but, I've since realized that my brain must have been MIA these last few days. It turns out that the pieces I thought were missing, were actually still attached to the seat . My sincere apologies to all for the misinformation . I'm in the process of ordering 'the fix' here:

I'll keep the link in mind too...you can never have too many sources for good used parts
