I'd have preferred to see the blue XCs on the Eriksen and you should have purchased yellow XCs (and yellow Speed Grips and an old Judy SL or Mag 21r) for the GT. I'm disappointed.

Well Samson, you have my address so feel free to ship those items over. Speaking of tires and disappointment, have you had any luck finding appropriate tires for your Boxster? No? These might work:

The blue FireXCs went on the GT because I decided to switch from the FireXC 2.1s on the Eriksen to a faster rolling tire. Currently the Eriksen has a set of Michelin XC AT 2.0s. I suppose a 2.1 Fire XC on the front and a 1.8 FireXC on the back could work. Anyone here using a 1.8 FireXC?

Lavender would compliment the pinkish hue of the Meridian Metallic paint, that's for sure.

I have run the 1.8 XCs in the past, and they are faster than the 2.1s. My issue with them was frequent flatting and they felt a bit loose in most situations. What is the terrain like in Adelaide, anyway?

      My bikes in action:

      4x,street,park

      Downhill

      (this bike is for sale)

And before you ask, I do use the hardtail for cross country and have used the downhill bike for all mountain

well, got my new bike yesterday and took it out for a ride. My fiance paid for most of it for my christmas present. It's a Redline D440 29er, it's great fun, and in the wet sometimes snowy conditions today it got traction in places none of my past 26ers would have.

      Thanks,

have a xtr ti cassette and set of black chris king classics and mavic 517 citrons waiting to be built pending funds.

      can't wait for those...

those pics were just after picking it up from a complete rebuild as the fork needed service, re cabled, all adjusted, degreased, you know the drill.

it was down for a month and a half and am quite happy to have it back.

yes they are... i was extremely excited when they announced the opening of a bike park, as it's my local hill. i'm hoping they put in some more stuff for this season. the four trails they have are cool... but i want some big drops and ladders this year.

2005 Iron Horse 7point (recently sold):

Still riding this thing around. 2006 Iron Horse MkIII. Swapped to an 11-32 cassette, and sold the crappy Hayes Strokers for some Juicy 7's.

      Custom Planet X dirt jumper:

And I sold my road bike (2008 Fuji Roubaix LTD. Toyota United Edition).

Sold my BMX Bike (Specialized Fuse).

Sold the 7point frame and traded the Totem for a Boxxer Team to get this... She should be here in a few weeks, comin' straight from Poland. In matte black, of course.

Nice bikes! That Trek steel frame will live forever. Friendly advice: remove reflectors, bottle cage, and saddle sack, take the pump off the frame, and put it all in a camelbak or other hydropack. Reflectors are completely useless both on and definitely off road, and the rest of the stuff acts like unsprung weight on the bike frame. Suspend that weight with your legs. Put it (and water) on your back and improve the bike's handling. Furthermore, as I've discovered on numerous occasions, hydropacks protect your back when you go over the bars.

Or, if you're vain, that stuff makes one look like a total noob.

OH MY GOD. you have the manitou "palmer" fork as well... i had one on my diamondback v-link until i snapped the frame, then put it on my azonic hardtail. the fork is 12 years old now, and pretty much bulletproof. i thought i was the only one left on the planet who had one of these.
