that shock/linkage position seems awfully scary to me.

as low as it is, its no lower than the bash guard/chainring, if you bottom out hard enough to whack that on a boulder, your going to be whacking everything. theres only a few light scratches on the lower linkage and the the bike has been ridden pretty hard, if thats any indicator as to how much danger that is in.

thats crazy though. I dont want to hit my bashguard and linkage and bottom bracket. On my revolt Ive got a good 2+ inches of bashguard below the BB. But if you ride it hard without problems then who cares!

OMG!! I have nightmares to this day about these bikes. I worked at a Giant dealer the couple years they made these and sweet jesus, what a crappy design
My best friend raced one at the time and eventually just gave it away because he was so frustrated with it
      -Jim.

i dont hate your bike, I just am scared of what damage a high speed compression in a major rock garden could do to the bikes suspension.
Like I said, if you ride it and like it rad! Im not hating at all, I was just baffled about why any company would put the shock mount and linkage and the same location to the bashguard/BB shell.

I posted my old Raleigh a few days ago and mentioned at the end that I was considering a 29er. Today I got $200 in trade for the Raleigh toward my 2009 Jamis Durango 29.

Thinking about getting a single speed MT Bike but don't know much about them. Any recommendation? Not looking to spend a fourtune. Say 500-600.
      Thanks
