It's an Octane One Void 3.0 (how's that for a long-ass name?). Octane One is NS Bikes' budget line.

Had a 22" Riot that was just a little longer than I wanted. This has a 22.2" TT, but with a 14.9" CS and 70d HA, (and a 38mm stem) and higher BB, it's shorter and tighter overall. Feels more 'park' an less 'dirt jump,' if you know what I mean.

Ended up trading my Riot frame to a friend for a first gen Chameleon w/Thomson seatpost and Surly/Rhynolite SS wheelset.

I was going to say, that frame looked a bit like the Suburban minus the integrated steapost clamp. That bike sounds like a joy to ride. I ground down the dropouts on my riot and the CS is sitting at 15.3 or something. just a couple mm shorter than stock and with the slacker HA its a bitch to spin. Although I love manuals on that thing. Im torn as the whether I should sell the riot or my Capital

I used to think that too. Then I discovered the joy of a properly functioning bike every time I'm ready to go.

decided to grab a evil sovereign today. wanted a steel hardtail fast bike for awhile, and hoping to cop it soon.

Inregards to the Transition. I've ridden a few and found them to be rather dead bikes. The suspension felt really bland. It took the hits and jumped well. I tend to like bikes that feel active and fast and it wasnt that. With that being said, it's a super simple bike and super reliable. It's be around probably a long time after my revolt. Its not gonna be the best race bike, but it'll be a dead solid park bike.

I'd never put bottlerocket and race in the same sentence. Slope Style comp yes, race no.

I know quite a few people that race on them, 7springs being one of those places thats mostly SS and with a small bit of tech. My suggestion if you havent bought the bottlerocketalready. Cop the TR250

I've got my eye on one, frame price is a little off-putting though haha

I think that if a freeride/minidh bike is what your after and pedaling isnt a major concern you'll be alot happier on the TR. The TR450's are super snappy bikes and the 250 is a smaller version of it. But there is a $1000 difference in cost.

I'm getting a bottlerocket as a am bike. I do alot of varied riding, and with a 160mm for on the front I feel will do well for me. I'm building up the br as a bike that I can take to the bike park 1-2x a month, and handle alot of different terrain with a abilty to climb when needed. It's gonna be a dual ring set-up, and weight doesn't matter that much to me as I think my remedy has to be 35-40 lbs?

Everyone has given it a great review as a all around performer. I plan to order up the frame this may with a new ck reducer headset so I can still run my domain 318 fork.

what remedy do you have? My remedy 8 was right at 30-31lbs. Im guessing the BR will be 40 or a little below.

I find it odd that Trek gets bashed so often, yet nobody mentions Giant.

Ive no ill feelings towards Trek, I loved my remedy and would own a session in a heartbeat. I think Trek just tried to get the frames too light and they dented really, really easy.

To be completely honest, I don't have firsthand experience with either models and their perspective issues. All I know is what I have read on the internet (so it must be true).

White/red is my fav color combo That's how I had my old xc bike set up. I thought gold would be to blingy for me, but I gotta say it really holds up well to abuse.

Quick question about the stem and spacers under it, seems awfully high, why not trim it down and drop the stem a bit and get you over the front a little more?
