Did a half way rebuild - new drivetrain and new wheels. Cheaper than buying a new bike at any rate.
After the fact
This is why I ride with flat tires, with very little air pressure

Been going through this thread checking out bikes for the last couple days..and decided to post mine. I call it the "Thug Bike". Picked it up off of craigslist as you see it, at first just to have a bike to ride with my kids. Dont know what brand or much anything else about the bike... maybe someone on here does..lol. Only ridden paved/city bike paths so far but there are a couple local trails I'll be looking at checking out.
I see how riding and these bikes can become addictive...

Single Speed 29er -
Using it as an urban bike rather than as a mountain bike.
I got a close-out deal on it from my LBS and am totally smitten.
Since this photo have upgraded to Avid Hydraulic brakes....
Meanwhile my mountain bike continues to evolve.
The Access frame seems to be a decent build point, now sporting XT 2x10 with insanely low gearing (for major hills) and a really big mish-mash of parts.
It is not the lightest and certainly not the fastest, but I've put about 1000 miles on it this summer and nothing has fallen off yet.

My Stout set up for SS cross duty. Blasted around a bit today. Will probably have some MTN drops on it soon.

Superfly is now singlespeed. Running a 34x18 for now. Not really thrilled with the tensioner setup to pull down instead of push up but it worked flawlessly this weekend.

after the utter and complete destruction of my knee in Whistler, I decided to sell the DH bike and cop a all mountain rig for once the doc OK riding. Torn: MCL, ACL, LCL, Meniscus, dislocated patella and fractured tibia.
Yes, the seat is high, I built it back up and just tried to see if I could pedal on flat ground, put the seat as high as possible to keep from bending my knee much. didnt work.
Copped off the owner of fluidride for $1700. Got a canfield one i'll be building back up as a DH bike. However i've been interviewing w/ specialized so who knows what i'll actually be on later next year.
2012 DB Mission Pro, Fox 36, All X0/X9, Cisx Carbon cranks, Rock Shox dropper, Easton Wheelset and stem, candy pedals/bar, Hayes Prime Pro brakes.

lol, I should have clarified, this is the 'Sunday' commuter.
The daily beater is a stock GT ZUM3.
Yeah, those are Zipp 515 mtb wheels. Zipp hub up front and M952 XTR at the rear.
