OH MY GOD. you have the manitou "palmer" fork as well... i had one on my diamondback v-link until i snapped the frame, then put it on my azonic hardtail. the fork is 12 years old now, and pretty much bulletproof. i thought i was the only one left on the planet who had one of these.

yeah it's pretty old as well. doesnt have a whole lot of travel, but it's fine for now.

It has a cog in the front and rear. The front has a lip on the outside and the rear has the lip on the inside. You just use chain tensioners to line the belt up to make sure it isn't rubbing or slipping off.

Take the bike off the rack before leave the garage

Seriously, you'd be surprised how many people don't do it. Or they forget that it's on top when they pull in

i hear diablo is amazing... i'm heading out there for the US open this year. first downhill race in ten years. ha.

you should check out seven springs sometime this summer... if you're in eastern PA it's about 3 hours out the turnpike. not a ton of runs yet, but the ones they have are insanely fun.

ride7springs.com and click on "bike parks" at the top.

i got it because (at the time) it was a long-travel fork. used it primarily for downhill and dual slalom races, and a few XC events as well, then a good deal of dirt jumping and street... just this year it held up to a few months of "north shore" and freeriding before i got my new bike. i plan on leaving it on my Azonic while i rebuild it for pure dirt jump purposes. guess the fork long outlived palmer's career in the sport.

Old pictures, but all I could find floating around the web.

      Heckler:

My primary bike, sees 90% of my riding. Still mostly the same as above, save for new Schwalbe tires and Juicy 7's.

      Shova LT:

My DH rig. The picture above is of the bike right after I built it. A lot has changed since then: DHX-5, Sunline V-One bars, stem and half waffle grips, Atomlab pedals, Kenda Nevegal's.

I'd really like to put a Totem on the Shova and a Lyric or 36 on the Heckler, but I think my wife would leave me if I spend any more money on bikes this year. In addition to the two above, I recently picked up a Cannondale Optimo CX bike and an Unreal Cycles Junior 4x/jump frame, and built it up with spare parts. It's an addiction.

      do I know you?

this pic is from the day I brought it home.

Probably not, but if your ever in Colorado, hit me up.

On page one, someone asked about a replacement swingarm on a Santa Cruz. I had broke the swingarm on my S8 and got a replacement. Was blue on blue (f/r). now Blue on Black. It's kinda frankensteinish, but it works.

I plan on hitting Diablo this year. I've talked about going in the past but either didn't have a bike built, didn't have the money, too busy, or who knows what else. The V-10 needs some east coast loving though.

you should angle your brake levers down so that when you are sitting in riding position on your bike and have your fingers resting on the levers they run in a straight line down your arm. the way you have them it looks like your wrist would be bent up and could cause discomfort or numbness on rides.

The 2009 models are ISCG equipped. On top of that, they enlarged the seat-tube to run a 31.6mm, and they removed that additional bracing on top of the upper link (it's heavy, and unnecessary).

Lastly, my frame will have a DHX 5.0 with a Ti spring. I couldn't afford the Avalanche shock, and I'm more familiar with the DHX.

Here's mine. Should be on it's way from Poland very soon.

Cruising by a garage sale today, picked this thing up for $25 bucks.

It has a sticker on the headtube of fake screws, must have been a Kmart bike, but for 25 bucks I figured what the heck.
