dang....i guess i drive to much.....dont have a TSI....but want a 2012 gti.....but i drive so much that i put 11k on my jetta in 4 months......30K in a year....warranty would be gone with in a year and half.

I just past 78K, car is wearing. and by wearing I mean I've had the intake manifold replaced once and throttle controller replaced twice. meh.

09 A3 FWD and DSG - 117 500 miles and counting. VAG-Com was the first thing I bought after the car and saved me tons of $$$ on maintenance and repairs.

08 GTi, just rolled over 50k miles. A few minor issues like the air conditioning resistor (p/o replaced under warranty), sub-frame clunk fixed under warranty and driver door latch replaced under warranty. I'd say so far so good.

Mileage update: At 31.5k now, the only thing that's been replaced was a failing water pump that'
s been making noise since 15k and I got it changed at 29k. Still love driving it![]()

2010 GTI with 81,000 miles
Purchased new in June 2010.
Taken in at 60k (dealer fudged the mileage to cover it under warranty) for replacement of sticky intake valve.
Regular maintenance every 10k.
No issues.

APR Stage 1 since ~20k miles (I think?)
BSH Recirc Catch Can to prevent some of the crud
Only problem so far - Coil Pack died on me at 44k - swapped out all four as well as my plugs.
Clutch holds real strong, but I'm gentle on it

I'm at 78K, and my EPC light went off for a 4th time. part won't be in until Monday so I'm rockin a loaner TDI wagon. I'm really pissed off at this point. 4 times is too many.

Just turned 91K. P2015 with intake manifold replacement @ 80K. Oil Pressure Issue starts @ 85K. Just had oil pan pulled today by dealer to check oil uptake and metal flakes everywhere. Stock motor babied with 5K oil change intervals ... Ugh.

The dealer thinks that it's either a bearing of some sort or a cam lobe that's wearing. They wanted $3200 to tear the engine apart to diagnose. No way I'm paying that kind of money to get a diagnosis. I could get a used motor for that price. I had them clean out the oil uptake and screen and bolt the lower pan back to the car. Looks like I'm trading it in before the problem gets worse ...
