Lately I've had a few people e-mail us asking why their PEM wasn't working and it turns out they removed the chip from the module it was shipped in and tried to install it directly into their ECU.
You must use the module that the chip is shipped in.
If you're using that module and having an issue, please send us an e-mail sales@blackforestindustries.com describing the issues you're having and our PEM guru will take a look.
    Thanks.

What about MILEAGE tuning on E10 - 87 octane. Do you plan on offering this at any time? I have no need to race my daily driver, but would love to squeeze a little more MPG out of her!

I'm running a test pipe and this file takes care of the CEL. I did not use an 02 spacer.

BFI Guys, I sent you an email regarding issues/frustrations with your chip and got NO RESPONSE. Here's my email as you may be more responsive in this environment:

I have your BFI Stg 2 PEM chip installed in my Mk3 Jetta VR6 and recently had a problem with the car intermittently stalling out or not starting altogether (intermittent CEL light). After all sorts diagnosis (replacing coilpack, wires etc which didn't solve the issue) I came across some threads where others using the chip had the same sort of symptoms. I installed my old GIAC software and the car is totally fine again.

I'd like to get a refund for the chip. Honestly, it's cost me way more money that it has been of value to me. Please get back to me promptly.

So I just bought a 8v obd2 golf that the po states has a "g grind" cam in it..he wasn't sure of the specs of it but thought it was a 268..the car runs great but at idle has a definite lap(can post video if needed) it has no current chip in it and was hoping that you guys would know where to go chip wise and if a chip would infact fix the lapping at idle.

We've made some changes to our PEMs, offering new encryption technologies allowing us to remove the need for the encryption module that was provided with our previous generation BFI PEMs (C2 Motorsport PEMs still require this module).
This simplifies our PEM offering and also allowed us to lower the price of our non-race files!

New listings can be seen using these links:

BFI Stage 1 PEM for ABA
BFI Stage 2 PEM for ABA - Cam Specific

BFI Stage 1 PEM for VR6
BFI Stage 2 PEM for VR6 - Cam Specific

C2 Motorsports Stage 1 PEM for VR6 - RACE file
C2 Motorsports Stage 2 PEM for VR6 - RACE file

Bought a chip from you guy back in June of 2011, within a week it didn't work. You guys told me I was sent a "bad file". You's sent me another chip and now that one doesnt work...ive tried other chips and they work fine. I even ran another ecu and still nothing from the c2 PEM stage 2 chip. I sent an email the other day so I'd like to here from you guys soon.

    Thanks You

This is the same Issue that I'm having now, and I corrected by doing the same thing, by tryin a different chip. This is the second PEM stage 2 chip that I received, if there is anyone that can help me get my money back I'd greatly appreciated it
