i say doit pawl has some 16x7 16x8 wheels i sold him he might sell same wheel above on rabriolets car
got some ****ty news today... we were told that with a early termination fee of $400 we could bring the Nisaan back and end the lease agreement.
they failed to mention if you do that, it will list as a voluntary repo in your credit, now i dont know what to do.. keep both and pay $300 a month for a car i dont drive. return it and have it listed on my credit. or sell the GTI..
lately things are just not going my way.
Leases sound so tempting, especially for temporary transportation and almost always end up being worth it but I always get scared that I'd get myself in that exact situation...sucks dude, hope it ends up working out. Do you have a copy of the agreement that shows it in writing that they will put it down as a repo?
In other news, I enjoy this thread: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...appy-paint-job
got positive and negative cables installed, got the steering column all hooked up, new roof seals installed, door handles installed, braile battery installed, and coil overs are on the way
car will set for a week now since i will be in denver for training and then i will get it finished up before rmr opens up.

WOW that's for the oil pump tensioner?! Looks like its a good think you had the engine apart already or the damage could have been much worse!
Hey everyone, I'm calling for some help. Does anyone have a 110 volt portable welder and some experience? I'd like to have a couple of guys come to my house to help me weld in a bracket into the back of the Passat for a CNG tank. I know I could probably take it somewhere or whatever but I'm planning on getting a welder sometime anyway and and I'd like to get a few tips as well see everyone and have a few beers (on me). Is anyone game? I'm talking this week sometime.

Right on, it doesn't matter too much. I can go pick up a Hobo Freight grinder to clean up the spatter and there's gonna be carpet over it. Basically I need a length of iron welded from the back of the thick steel area where the seat backs sit against up to maybe the front edge of the spare tire well - this is what I want to mount the CNG tank brackets to. Or maybe just weld a cross member from where the bottom of the wheel wells meets the floor...We could probably just weld the brackets to the trunk floor itself but its that thin double wall stuff and I have doubts about its strength.
I can't bolt the brackets through because the gas tank is right under it, so the point is to tack something in that I can weld the brackets to. At any rate its gonna be almost 60 degrees out and its been a while since I've seen the DCDUBS hooligans. Hell, I might even grill some dogs up if people wanted to come over. I GOT THAT SPRING FEVER!
I will bring my metal burner, and maybe Jonny would show us how to accurately lay down a weld . It would be fun to get everyone together. What day should we plan for?
LMK how much you want it to go for.
As far as R-line rear goes, I wouldn't mind a rep, but nothing fiberglass, must be urethane.
And I really just want to find an OEM one used, it's really not to far out of my sights right now. Especially if I can sell by OEM rear bumper for $200-$300 after it's shaved, molded and primed.
Looks like tomorrow and Friday are the days that should be sunny, so whenever people would want to come out for a little while. If Johnny could come give his expert advice that would be cool, if not that's OK. I met his Friend Derick Hart a few weeks ago, he lives like 2 blocks from me so maybe I could ask him to come take a look for a few minutes and make fun of us and our poor skills...but whoever wants to come is welcome, just let me know.
