Lol that they do. I wish I liked the mk5 or mk6 as well as the mk4 so I could justify buying one. I spent almost a month looking at new cars, trying to figure out what I liked best... The best thing I could come up with was the CC. Maybe when the mk7 comes out I'll like that and get to buy a new car.

      True.

I'm excited to see what he does with it even though I don't like the front end. Hell, maybe he'll change my mind about mk5's.

so i ask what would look good on the car, as i still want wheels on it not just steelies (unless there wide and poke) throw your ideas out for me.

im almost thinking some 17in aristos and tuck the crap out of them.
Are you sure you don't mean arietta? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost positive they never made aristos as 17 inch wheels.

Arietta's look very similar, but were made as a 17. 7.5 wide with an et 38.

Personally I'd get some widened steelies if I were you. Either that or spend an arm and a leg and hunt down a set of borbet type A's... Those are my two favorite wheel types for mk2's.

Learn something new every day. 17's are still to big for a mk2 IMO.

I like the Mercedes alphards. I hear they are hard to find. Good luck with your search . First mod on my rabbit are coilovers once I save up enough.

Ive done it twice, once for my old subaru and one for my father in laws passat, its not 100% at keeping the code clear but worked pretty well, it would flicker on and off every now and then. but a cheap way to go for sure.

it was only one wheel & it was on there for about 5 minutes. i'm going to see how they look once the coilovers are on & make up my mind then. right now, that car looks stupid with any wheel because it's so damn far off the ground

so, with ryan gone, anybody have any suggestions on a place for inspection/emissions?

i hate that this isn't mine.

also, except for the horrendous wheel gap (&the fact that it's jacked up in this picture doesn't help either), too big? looks like it'll fit in the wheel well perfectly when it's lowered.
