First time I saw this: 4 girls tonight basically being the female equivalent of "that guy". Using the bench press and spotting each other between sets...that's cool...except they were only using the bar and the spotter was using 2 hands to assist on EVERY single rep in every set. One girl appeared to get stuck under the bar at one point, but they still felt the need to add 2.5lbs on each side after that. To their pleasure, their noise caused some staring from the bro congregation on the machines.

gym bro taught 2 skanks how to squat in the smith rack yesterday. after checking themselves out for 10 minutes, they each did one rep with 10s on it before both agreeing that it was in fact way to hard and they didnt want to look like power lifters.

But really though, the bros in my town consist of mid 20 somethings that I went to HS with and they ALL joined the Fire Department. Then, along with them comes their GF that suddenly got somewhat attractive over the past 7 years.

I've found that people's facebook status updates about going to the gym is actually inversely related to frequency of their workouts. This applies to both sexes.

Today was a first.
A lady in her late 40's was on a bike at the gym...eating a breakfast sandwich. Foil wrapped and all. Bish.

We live in an area where there are a lot of the living dead (retirees). Luckily, I've been able to avoid missing them at the gym.... until the last 3 times I've gone there has been this OLD lady doing this:

Edit: I should add that she doesn't look like the above chick when she does it but she is rocking some biker shorts.

overheard a gym bro say yesterday that he doesnt breath while he lifts and it helps him get the last rep. he was doing seated overhead presses with 185 too, i know that would make me dizzy, but i think he must be lacking some brain function to think thats a good idea...

Some power lifters hold their breath for like 3 reps to keep the core tight. I know I cant do that.

Saw a new one today...couldn't believe my eyes.
Johnny Biceps..of course, strolls over to the squat rack, throws the bar up to the top notch, and proceeds to do...yup you guessed it..CHIN UPS!!! Then brings it down and does his curls.....and repeats for 3 sets.... then 167 different types of curls for the rest of the hour he was there.
Like wtf?!?!? Do people even think about what they're doing? I mean come on. I guess it was just a matter of time before somebody did it.

it wouldve been AMAZING if the bar slipped out on him and he got what he deserved.
bro in jeans and workboots was curling the bar in the rack yesterday next to me deadlifting, he worked his way up to bar plus 5 lb plates on each side.

Went to the a different location of my gym out by the college and it was a veritable forest of the dorky kind of frat guys that you are surprised they let into the frat trying to workout. One guy was standing up doing obliques with a 10 lb weight in one hand and talking on his cell-phone while bending over. Then told one of his bros that he was cycling with some TrenExtreme
