Because I like my thread to be at the top of the forum? Thats why I pay advertising fees....
Not sure what "flaws" you are talking about. This is a performance mount and yes a few people do record shaking but some people get over it.
You want comfort then do not modify your car period.

<IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/grinsanta.gif" BORDER="0">Every engine mount will transmit vibrations throughout the car. Thats the point of an engine mount, to minimize engine movment to get better throttle response and to get the power to the ground better.

If you want mounts that perform, they are going to transfer engine vibrations into the cabin.... either enjoy the free massage or be a poo nanny about it LOL if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen son!!

Any updates as to when the transmission mount will be done? I have had my eye on these two mounts for about 7 months but I keep waiting for the completion of the third mount.

I have the poly insert and the BSH engine and transmission mounts, still not happy. Too much slop in the engine and I think it's coming from the lower engine mount. My question is... is this bushing your selling an OEM bushing that you poured rubber into? When I first saw it I immediately noticed the center piece is identical to the OEM one but then I just thought that maybe you take an OEM one, melt the rubber out with acid and then pour in new rubber. But then I realized that the outer ring on the bushing is plastic, just like the oem one so there is no way that the OEM rubber could've been melted out by acid because it would've destroyed that plastic ring at the same time. Also I was wondering how you would've got the center piece to align when you were pouring the rubber...
Anyways what I'm getting at is this, is the OEM rubber still inside the mount underneath your rubber? If so that's really no different than a torque arm insert, just more completely inserted. I'm not complaining about the price, but I know you get what you pay. What bugs me is if you just poured in more rubber couldn't I go buy some of the mix myself and just fill my stock mounts with them still mounted on the car using something like a turkey baster needle and some tubing? You can see from the picture that all you'd need to do is tape off the bottom and the side and pour away. I'm just lazy and that sounds a heck of a lot easier and some people have mentioned how much of a pain it is to press these in.Sorry not trying to be an ******. I just can't believe no one else has noticed this or asked about it yet.

Not the sound like a bitchy cheerleader but I am wondering how much vibration is going to carry through to the cabin. I have a KO4 with lots of wheel spin that I would like to cut down on but I don't want my whole car to vibrate apart.
I would opt for the street line and purchase the whole kit if it ever becomes available, haha.
So is this vibration mostly when the car is running and stationary like at a red light? Thats how my mkiv GTI is, then it mellows out after you get on the throttle and the car starts moving.
This is my daily and I don't want to trade off a lot of comfort like I did in my other GTI, but I want it all. What is your opinion, should I just save for the LSD or is the vibration only minor with the street mounts?
Btw, Isam your one smart guy! Hope I spelled your name right.
