is this pn heavier than our stock..

    isnt our stock cast aluminium?

The stock pan is a little heavier due to all the extra ribbing for the gearbox support but where the weight is removed on the INA pan,it is added in the basket for the oil pump pick up.

... Whatever the case we can make an adapter to bolt to the bell housing and these pans clear the Eurospec or INA girdle main stud nuts with no issues.

Is there a link to the INA girdle?

    Adam,
I am going to say this respectufully. You were banned from this forum because of your insitant haggling on people.Sometimes it is best if you did not give your opinion... i.e. read a post and move onto the next post.
INA Engineering staff do not post in threads you create so we do not see the need to have you post in our threads.

If you have noticed I have been very busy working with web developers and the website is finished. We are just working through the quirks to make it the best possible 1.8T performance website out there.
Thanks for being patient with us.

got mine and it's a good piece of machining - great quality stuff.

if anyone goes to track often - it can save yr engine..seriously..

there is a reason why all track cars have this or a dry sump..dry sump is X10 unfortunately and is heavy.

I dont understand why not more people are snappin this up..I was looking for one for like 2 years..the UK guys are all over this, seriously...in the SEAT, audi and volks forums..cause of their B-road drives and circuit track racing hobbies

and it's worth it if u compare to Japanese made stuff..which cost more per car

maybe no one goes to circuit racing? and turns fast? hmmm..nah..

Issam, have you thought about maybe welding vertical aluminum ridges, sort of making it into a pseudo oil cooler? ala:

Thought about casting up the pan as it would have been WAY cheaper but then the horror of breaking my Schrick cast pan caused reality to set in.A cast pan would not bend on a rock whereas the INA pan will

Our girdles are CNC machined (not laser cut then debured) and are then grinded flat. When placed on a flat table and you press down 1 side, you cant even fit a sheet of paper between the girdle and the flat table.
When you machine the spacers the difference in machining is 0.001" - 0.002" pretty much industry standard.
When I update my 2.2 thread I will show you whats the difference with pictures.

Is there a cover for the oil level sensor?

How much does the reinforcement plate lower the pan?

How much does the reinforcement plate cost?

To add a reinforcement plate (all though I dont think its needed after taking a hammer to one of these pans ) will be an additional 99USD.There is a cover for the oil level sensor but we can also make one without the mounting plate for an OEM oil level sensor.
The pan is built to be as universal as possible.

Only transverse.I can build one for a longitudinal set up along the same concept BUT I would prefer to do 1 off's ...not a production run.

Have you built any for longitudinals yet?
and would the longitudinal version clear a girdle on an 058?
