How far are people willing to drive?? I know of a few nice roads but it's a mission lol....and do you want twisties or just cruisin the freeways...

you gotta have a combination of twisties for the cornering fun and not so twisties for the awesome car to car pics. I had a cruise planned up here in Humboldt but no one showed up including the 5 people that said they would. :argh: oh well Humboldt VW is dead now anyways.
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6, Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

Heres a few things from personal experience

45 minute to an hour cruise seems to be good.
If its going to be an hour or longer have a set halfway meeting spot to let the slow/late drivers catch up and let people stretch their legs/use the bathroom.
Pure twisties is a little much and pure freeways is boring but a good combination of both is great.
Personally i would have the first few miles be highway for the first photo ops then some twisties for the pure pleasure of driving and the awesome pics you can get their.
And by god avoid the f**king congested areas. Theres just about nothing as irritating as loosing half your caravan due to some jack hole that cuts off half your group.
if you have more than 25 cars be considerate of the other drivers and split up the cars into groups of 10-15 cars with about 5 minutes between groups.
dont put a stock diesel or non turboed/supercharged gas with vr6 and 1.8t cars its just not fun to have to stop or slow down constantly for them.

If i think of anything else i will edit this

I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6, Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

i love hwy 152. but the last few times ive been thru there ive been caught behind some slow cars. even at 1-2am. you guys should check out empire grade, in santa cruz. i hit that last night and had a blast. perfect combo of straight/twist.

Nope, nothing for the drive yet. I thing we just drive mount Madonna to Gilroy again. Maybe 17th mile drive in Monterey is a nice drive and plenty of chance to take pictures.

About West Coast Worthersee I am coordinating with the people over here. I have one guy who is going and is registering together with me. I want to be there since Saturday go to the BBQ and everything.

      What's up Ed!

Dubfest was last Sunday at Tomas Sport Tuning.

So you finished the van? I want to see it and see if the Super charged VR6 can keep up with the Vanagon

HOW MUCH IS EVERYTHING? HOTEL AND SHOW PRICE??

Check out http://www.westcoastworthersee.com for all the info about the show. The deadline for the hotel was last week, but the hotel said they are keeping the discounted pricing for Worthersee attendees. It's $109.99 for Saturday night. For the show, its $5 if you want Exhibition parking, which is just parking on the center median and not getting judged. For $10 you can participate in the judged car show, and still park on the grass. Hope you guys are still planning on making it. We would love to get a big NorCal presense at the show.

i dont care, 152 is always nice with some twisties n 17 mile drive is more of a really really slow cruise but with a pretty good scenery and they do charge to get in.

well it's a an 1/8th mile track in a town called tres pinos which is right next to hollister. take 7 mins to get there from the house. It is actually a failed attempt at a full track. the city shut it down due to complaining residents near by. it's a concrete not asphalt track. which makes it rather hard to get a good launch. there's no timer. but there is a light tree at the beginning to control when to launch. They recently just started opening it up by invite onlys. Turns out I got an invite from one of the old street racing crews I used to hang out with but am no longer affiliated with. so we just went out and had a bbq and raced a bit. hope that's enough info for ya rick lol
