Coils sold today. Dude was pretty cool. Forgot his name already though... Has a nice GTI though. Could certainly benefit from some low.

    Ownage

Stock, but you gotta love the HDR.

Now I just have to come up with the $750 for a not sh!tty OEM front bumper and paint for it and my car will be beautiful once again! I'm so sick of that awful monstrosity I've been passing off as a "bumper" for the past few months... Every time I see it I just want to cry. Seriously, wtf, why did I do that?!

BTW, I picked up a bunch of parts this weekend at Cory's Pick N Pull. Great prices, but the service leaves something to be desired.

I'm just kidding! Thanks again Frogbutter.

Much more cost effective to haul a shell down rather than having my dad run an empty trailer and one ton dually up to haul my car back down to my new place. Plus i want to get into the mk1 seen extremely bad.

So how do you guys know when it's going to switch to a new page? Seems like a few of you guys know... Ha.

Also a question for Tyler or whoever else is good at body work. Sometimes when I'm applying filler, it doesn't spread on very smooth. Sometimes it will be nice and smooth, other times it comes out looking like mashed potatoes and be really pitted or have a lot of "craters". I use a clean spreader every time, how can I prevent this?

From what ive expierenced using filler is it depends on how fast you apply it. Mine went on smooth when i put it on right away and if i waited too long and tried to put it on it would start to turn to a mashed tater type look. Dont know if thats right but its what ive expierenced.

It was still pretty freshly mixed, wasn't hardening up yet. Did do it over the weekend and it was upper 40's. Maybe just thicker due to the temp?

I do think it works better when its warmer out. When its cold I have a hard time getting my glaze to squeeze out of the bottle, when it warm its like liquid. It also depends on how much hardener your using. I know if you use too much it will look almost like its bubbling up even before you spread it. I usually just throw it on quick or mix up a new batch. Usually I plop some on a mixing plate and make a line of hardener across the diameter of it.

Yep, I got the right amount of hardener going, if anything I always go just a hair under normal so I can take my time applying it. Only seems to happen once in a while. I was also thinking maybe too much filler on the spreader. Like it's sticking to itself when I apply it maybe.

1 inch of hardener per golf ball worth of filler.

Temps will effect filler greatly. It isnt supposed to be used at those temps..nor is any autobody related material.

So I'll be honest, since I got Unitronic, I haven't really pushed the .:R all that hard. Until tonight. Oh.My.God.

That 2nd gear pull can be described only with words of and above the caliber of "nasty", "awesome", and "holy sh!t!"
