Good news. The Audi is getting a remanufactured transmission. More importantly it's only going to cost me $200 instead of $4500. Looks like late this week or early next week. Theyre is only one left in the country and it's mine.

Well I'm going to just redo it all when I have the money in a few weeks, so I'm not sweating it too much. New hood and bumper will be professionally do e, so no more slip UPS and bad fitment. I live almost literally across the street from the high school so I shouldn't have any excuse not to be there anyway.

That is pretty huge really. Joe has just been blown away they went with a whole trans instead of just the mech unit. He was HOPING for authorization on the ~2000$ mech unit, and the guys like no, we have authorization on a whole remanned trans. The trans itself is more like 5k, plus the labor to do it.
Pretty rad you will have EVERYTHING replaced (the last vw DSG we had set and ready to go was like 9k) for $200. For as crappy as it is to have it happen, now you have a new, refreshed trans in your ~100k mile car. Pretty cool.
