A MKIV Jetta must be worth around $30k right?

Given the value of the car and the cost to fix it being a few grand. I would not rule out them totaling it out.

Working on it. We will see how things pan out. That's fine though, I'm not digging most of the cars out on the market right now. I half way considered buying a new one with the color/options I want but the monthly payments were too depressing.

If they decide to total it buy it back from the insurance company if they are willing to let it go for CHEAP.. im sure finding replacement panels for a reflex silver MKIV should be next to impossible right?

I was able to find a reflex silver driver side fender for the golf at Don's Sports Cars over by appleton, oshkosh area. Paid 75 bucks for it, although the tone of the silver is a bit off

Well that way if it does go up in flames hopefully the fire extinguisher will work on its own and put the fire out

I honestly had no clue till today about the clear flame, always good stuff in the 1.8T forum

I had a fire extinguisher in the back seat of the GTI once. Went to an auto-x and i did quite exactly have to secured good enough and whenever i made a turn the trigger would hit against something and well after that one run the bottle was empty Whole reason I had one in the car was because i told a buddy of mine how i've heard stories of VW's randomly starting on fire and he got it for me as a gag gift for x-mas

Brad remember that Ticking I was having whenever i started the car up first time on a day i told ya about a month ago? well i changed the oil and ticking went away
