Also, does anyone know of a local/semi local place that does wheel widening? I'd be looking to have steelies widened on the lip side for the bug.

Could probably pick up a whole new set of them from like Diamond Racing i think for the same price as widening...

I know, and I have several sets of diamonds in a 5x205 for my race car, but that isnt what I want. I want to do a classic domey with a little more lip in the rear.

    From this

    to this

Its subtle but I like it.

They're is a place in the cites that may do it a set of wheels. I will try and find their card when I get home. They do a few various types of plateing. Hardest part is probably stripping the chrome off.

well one thing i was thinking of doing is buying a second pair in just plain silver and send those in if it'd make the process easier. but yeah if you can find their name or # that'd be great

It all depends on what kind of build you are planning to do. You can do a stg 3 apr/giac/etc. tune w/gt28 and it is pretty much an off the shelf bolt on turbo kit. but if you want to do something bigger adn better i would for sure talk to brad or go through the 1.8t tech forum... lots of BT builds and what not to check out.

Just remember that anything bigger than a gt28 or so is in need of a new bottom end to be safe...hope that helped point you in some type of direction.

Let me tell you something about Eurodyne, I bought it when it was first released as it was going to be the next best thing... I wish I would of just spent the 2200 dollars on Lugtronic standalone as there are alot more people locally that can tune Standalone but no one will touch Eurodyne... And alot of people assumed there was going to be alot of tunes that you could flash in and drive, but at the time there wasn't.... Now a few years later he does have alot of base flashes to choose from and then you tweak from there....

I can guarantee that Unitronics makes alot more power than Eurodynes Base flashes, can Eurodyne with the proper tuning be better than a Unitronics flash YES... Proof below

    Here is another one

Now If I could do it all over again it would be 2500 for full standalone, As my car is beyond what certain companies have for flashes.... Unitronic would be the next choice if you don't plan to sway away from certain hardware they have in there tunes... Or else United Motorsports has a damn good tune and they use a Pro Maf so you can't be maffless but going that route you can run a bigger throttlebody, cams ect and it can adapt as it knows how much air your engine is sucking in.....

    Hope this helps

Unitronic has no hardware, go to there website and see what flashes they have. you can select different inj and whatnot from there menus.... You send your ECU to them and they flash with the file you choose depending on the hardware you have and send it back to you
