I still have my heart set on the elise but then I started thinking about how I would drive it everyday and the awd of the tt makes that a nice 2nd choice. With the mods they would both be about the same price.

Yea, but the Elise is worlds more reliable over a BT TT.

I am not talking anything too crazy. Maybe a 3071 so I can use the 630 injectors and programing. That setup has been around so long that it is tweeked pretty well and I won't have to worry about crazy things like if I will have enough fuel etc. I haven't looked into it but I am sure someone makes down pipes so that won't have to be custom made. I am thinking a well thought out and built off the shelf setup.

Also I don't know how easy I would feel taking the elise to some job sites where as the tt isn't as flashy and if I do air I can dump it so they wheels are safe.

Cheaper to put a bigger turbo than to start from scratch on the VR. Plus the TT has a small bay so things would get tight with the VR. I love the sound of the VR but it is just too much of a headache for what I am thinking.

And like I said this would be a daily driver bunny replacement so the mpg of the 1.8 is a nice plus. I am thinking a close match to the setup on my green car but no polished stuff or any of the extra bling just function. The bling I will save for nice but not stupid expensive wheels and air so I can get the look I am after but still raise it to drive without having to dodge every dime in the road.

Either way I still have about a year before I get rid of the bunny so I have time.

Welcome to Chi-town. Humboldt Park can get crazy sometimes. Be alert and don't leave stuff sitting in your car in plain view.

And Riot Fest will be in your hood next weekend, so be prepared to fight off kids with mohawks and liberty spikes... and a bunch of old dudes that used to be like, but now don't have any hair.

At the rate I'm going (in about 1 or 2 years) I'll be totally shaving off what's left of my hair by then. To keep the illusion of a full head of hair, I've got the clippers all the way down to the #1 attachment (1/8 inch I believe)! Ah well... such is the life of the old dude.

Just giving you a heads up, BBC America's running the premier episode of BSG again today, it's on right now, and repeating @ 11pm, with the second part at 1am, and THE PLAN on at 3am. Thankfully, I had a DVR, so I can rewatch.

for the headsup!!! However, I moved back to 60487 last month to my sister's cable-less house. If you save 'em up on the DVR, I'll watch 'em when I finish my Board exam in a couple of weeks. If you want a Filipino over. As a gesture of good will I'll wear bottoms...and I mean the whole time I'm there.

The stereo in my car is not working and the one in the Gti cost 50$ at Wally world so I'm not to worried. I was told by my downstairs neighbor we can hear all the music from our living room.
Been riding bikes around humboldt and wicker park a bit. I'm digging it
Hope to meet a few of you guys at the Tuesday meet, but if you see a red mk3 jetta with no rear bumper and nc tag or a black mk3 Gti nc tag and German tag on both

Hell man, push comes to shove, I got the Mini-series on DVD, with the first season. I"ll let ya borrow it if ya want to. I just figured if you wanted to watch it broadcasted and all, I'd give ya a heads up.
