Hey Chi people! My Nav wants to put in Clark Street North rather than North Clark Street. Is 739 N Clark Street the same as 739 Clark Street North Not sure it matters.

Just got back from the memorial. Had the pleasure of meeting Bryan's father and aunt. The amount of people that showed them support was amazing.

    Treasure every moment my friends.

I have spoken with Bryan's mother expressing interest in setting up a cruise to Bryan's wake this Sunday. To say the least, she seemed very excited at the thought of us doing this.

We will be meeting at Streets of Woodfield in Schaumburg at 5:15pm in the back parking lot by Dick's Sporting Goods by 53/290. We will be departing at 5:30-5:45. The drive will be about 45minutes from Schaumburg.

    Sunday Oct 7

    Foran Funeral Home
    7300 South Archer Ave.
    Summit, IL

After speaking to his father last night, the one thing he wants to see the most is fellow car enthusiasts. After all, that's who Bryan was. To help a family get the closure they deserve is the least we can do.

I hope to see you all there,

    Chris

PS: Please don't hesitate to text me or PM me for any information regarding the cruise. Everyone is welcome.

I am trying to figure out how to do something special for my cousin who is currently enlisted in the Marines.

He has had a good life, but not one that has been handed to him on a silver plater. He enlisted at the age of 22 which is older than the norm. He is a great musical artist and does great things with a guitar and is extremely humble about it. He was removed from his house because of problems with his parent(s). He jumped around staying with family and friends since he was 18. He has stayed off drugs and drinks very rarely during that whole time no matter how "down" he was. I have tried helping him as much as I could, even getting him a job at my work, which he did well with.

    Now comes my question...

He has a 98' RS that is need of some major over hauling. I found it for him when his old Grand Prix was breaking down on him. He has purchased everything on his own with no help from anyone. He almost refuses it. The car is currently parked at our Grandmother's house and I want to take it and fix it for him. I am fine with paying what I can to the project, and I will also pitch it to the rest of the family. But, what would be a "nice" way to maybe get some help from local shops and vendors to help get his car to something he deserves?

Just trying to be a good cousin. :thumb up: (and a little bit of a mooch...)

    Any suggestions?

    1) 98' RS what?
    eclipse?
    inpreza?
    camaro?
    cavalier?
    integra?
Seems like 1998 was the year everyone made a RS.

    2)What is wrong with it?
3)As far as shops helping you need to just pound the pavement and ask all of them.
    4)Good luck

Should have specified, but it is an Impreza. (Damn you are right about the RS badge though!) It has some body issues, which I will work out with my connections at work, and some work is needed in over hauling the motor. I would love to redo his wheels in the stock color and maybe redo his suspension. Kind of do my own Overhauling to it. Good guy that deserves it.

Thanks for the info though. I have started the grind of emailing local shops for info and help.

Have you tried posting on nasioc.com? I am sure there are people there that would be able to maybe point you in the correct direction of either shops or even people who do work on the side. Other than that I don't have any ideas.

I appreciate it and might look you up after everything is done and it is delivered to him.

The paint and panels need too much work from being a city car for many years. It needs full body shop work.

We would be happy to donate Labor. Say, installation/alignment of a suspension/wheels etc...

I just looked at a place two days ago and the past owner f'in took the ac, heater and hot water with them. I expect to see that ish on bank owned places but these people still own the place. They best part is they prob thought they could resell that stuff for a few grand at best but by doing that most banks will not do a mortgage on a place with those missing anymore. Puts them into a cash only type sale and they will either take a bath on the sale or will eat anything they might make selling the place with the $5k in taxes they will have to keep paying untill someone does buy the place.

Lol, I was thinking of doing that if I lost my place but good news Bank of America approved my modification so as long as the judge ok's it I should be able to save my place. Saved $600 a month in my mortgage payment to a now "do able" payment. So in the ghetto I stay until my credit cleans up.

Yup, I think. He said something about strengthening the clamp at the top of the stomach and fixing the hiatal hernia. We tried everything else and it didn't work to fix the problem so I guess they are going in.

    It's a cool surgery!

They take the top edge of your stomach and wrap it around the eso****us. I believe it's called fundiplication.

I haven't studied in almost a month. And I drink alcohol. Programmed stupidity. If I went to a "normal" med school that had summers off and wutnot, I doubt I'd make it.

In other news, I'm getting great at Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty. I'm still deciding if I want to fork over the ca$hola to try to play RE6. I should start clinical rotations soon, so my Xbox-ness will end.

If any of you Xboxer might be interested in a lightly used copy of RE6, I'll sell it for like $40. I just don't want to eat all $58 for something I might get to use for the next couple of weeks, ya know?

Serious. If any of you might be interested in a $40 played for a couple of weeks copy of RE6, LMK and I'll run to the store and buy it now.

If any of you bitches want to play w/ me (homo), I made a Live account. I'm ChiSoxNinja9.

Tempting, I usually wait at least a year so the used titles are under $20. I'll think about it. I did the unthinkable and put a deposit on a full priced Assassins Creed 3 so I'm tied up at the moment since it comes out soon. I still have borderlands 1 to beat so maybe by next year I'll buy 2. I did pickup Batman Arkham Asylum (game prior to arkham city) and I actully think it's better. So food for thought for you nerds out there that may not have known that.
