Well that's a shocker... You don't do that stuff. Come on man, live a little, editing the forum posts can't be that much fun.

Come out to the the track and waste a little gas and rubber. IT"S FUN!!!

Hope to see you out there driving the tire off it...

It's all good, I know vortex threads lead to challenge of who can prove who knows more. If a simple spell checker corrected my TC to CC and It really meant ESP. I think we got what I meant to say You guys are great motivators.

So you are saying that you can deploy launch control without disabling the ESP button? This is where I am confused. In my car you must disable ESP for Launch Control to work at all.

Are you guys enjoying yourselves? Correcting somebody because they called ESP CC is not proving anything. It's clearing muddy waters.

I agree and would comment back but I would only be acting like them. Lets move to the next time slip.

Well to answer this correctly I should have said I tried to launch but never did with the (E S P) off this is why it was a FAIL. I admitted to my mistake in the thread. This is the video that was taken of that run so I can better explain myself.

You will be able to see that I am in reverse trying to line the car up when the lights start rolling on me. I am sure the guy at the control has no idea I am automatic and need to put car back in drive press brake rev and launch. Not happy with reaction time but happy that I was not walked at the time. Yes I will try to practice launch a few more times, this happens to be my second time at the strip and no prior experience. Maybe once I am in full confidence that I can improve time I will go back.

No worries man. I read it wrong. You said launch at 4500 so i thought it deployed.

Might help a bit next time. I simply turn ESP off Everytime I turn the car on at the track. I actually say it out loud in my car of course.

"Ignition, on. ESP off." You don't have to turn it off right before you use LC. You just have to have it off. Also practice Left foot braking. I roll through the water and then straight up to staging when the track personnel signal you to spin the tires. I roll in in "S" and try and light the first bulb, then wait for the other guy in "N". If he lights them both I drop back into "S" and roll forward a little to light both bulbs, then Hard on the Brake Pedal with Left foot. Flutter the throttle, if it doesn't engage LC come completely off the throttle BUT keep your foot on the brake. Then try and flutter again. It should go into LC at that point. Lift off the brake and mash the throttle on the last Yellow Bulb.

The Guy controlling the lights has no control over the timing. Once both cars break the beams the computer takes over and starts the lights.

    Practice, Practice, Practice..

Went out to Gainesville Raceway for a little fun and tried to get into the 1.9s for 60ft, but came up short. Please add me to the list.

    Unitronic Flash
    and V-maxx coil overs.
    Tire pressures at 52PSI

My buddies in trailer weather station had DA at 1358' but temp was 68°F.

    What brand are you tires?
52PSI seems really high to me.

They are the stock Dunlop SP Sport A/S tires that came on it. I ONLY RUN that pressure at the track and lower it to 40 before I head out the gate. The reason I raise it is to lower the rolling resistance of the car. Haldex controls the traction fine.

It has helped my 60ft times which in turn helps my overall time.

I also see you are in VA, and everyone is freezing their behind off so it is an advantage I will never have here in Miami. It looks like 60F or less. Nice time.

My bad by the looks of everyone wearing hoods and jackets it seems unlikely that 96F was a factor, I live in Miami and here we wear shorts and sandles with 85F but thats just us here.

all I had done was GIAC flash. I'll post a pic of the slip when I get a chance. this was also my first time drag racing so there's room to grow for sure. now I have evoms intake, milltek res catback, giac flash and lighter wheels so we'll see what my next times end up being. I'm hoping all that drops a few 10ths. but im not sure exactly how much time can be dropped from little stuff like that.

I hate to say it but if you want straight line speed best bet it to trade in the R on a 335i/135i and do the Juicebox 3
