Got a ticket in my MK2 VR last night. No tags(because they haven't come in the mail yet) AND a fixit ticket for the LED license plate bolts.

Freaking DPT got me on Saturday. For "improperally mounted front plate" $60.00 to pay off;$10, if i get it signed off. My plate is legally mounted. I asked CHP. It will cost me more to take the day off and fight it, than to pay it.l

Does sound like a typical South Bay story, but it was actually on 16th between Mission and Valencia. That's what I get for cruising the hood.

I don't think the cop expected me to have all my paperwork in order. She walks up to my window and I'm all - "Here's my license, proof of insurance, the title in my name, the DMV receipt showing my registration is paid, the recent smog certificate showing I passed... I'm just waiting for the tags to arrive in the mail".

Then, she tried to tell me that I was supposed to take my smog cert in to DMV after I pass. She came back and corrected herself, after writing up my ticket.

nice. A couple times ago, I totally lost it in the first turn of a fun-run and almost plowed into oncoming traffic, but that's beside the point of having a VR. Stupid FWD and cold tires. . Sorry, I'm just farking hungry and have a test in 40 minutes. LAME.

its almost like the brake is your enemy unless your wheels are pointed straight forward, but really its all about the gas pedal, the vr has so much power you can use it to pull the car through the corners... i think i only used the brakes a couple of times

omg bored at school. Anyone got hook ups on machining in the peninsula? I need to get new valve guides and valve stem seals put in, and the head decked. If nothing inexpensive and good comes up, I'll have to wait another week to get it done

    It's a 12v
